Heather in Neverland
I just realized that we have been without cable TV for over two months now and it hasn't even fazed us! We have always had cable but when we got to Malaysia we decided to skip it as an experiment, Two months later I realized that my kids haven't asked for it one single time and dh and I didn't even notice. Woo Hoo! To be fair, we do HAVE a TV and we have watched a couple of movies since we got here. But I was nervous to get rid of it and now I have no idea why. ?? Jean in Newcastle
Cool. I think that real life is so much more interesting!
lionfamily1999
We've been down for awhile now (not really sure how many months it's been). One huge difference I've noticed is how much calmer by boys are... Blessed quiet :)
Nakia
I would love to get rid of the TV, but my dh is adamantly against it!
5Youngs
We've had cable for about 4 months in 14 years. Each time we thought we missed it, we realized the same shows were being played years later. It's totally possible to have life without cable. And much more pleasant~ :D Congrats! Cammie
We have always had cable but when we got to Malaysia we decided to skip it as an experiment, When we arrived in India our TV wasn't compatible with the power system, we didn't want to go get a huge transformer, getting cable was a huge headache and so due more to laziness than any higher motive we decided to give up TV. Now have been TV free for three years! We do watch movies and play Wii but it has been great for our family! We don't miss it at all [ok, that is a lie - I miss it but no one else does!]
Starr
We didn't get our cable connected when we moved 9 years ago and we have rarely missed it.
i.love.lucy
I'm completely ready to get rid of it, but I can watch most shows I want on Netflix or computer. DH loves his NFL and we can't get that without cable/dish. I am hoping that after this season he will agree to get rid of it.
