Jane
How do you open them???!! We found some inexpensive ones, but getting the lids off is *very* difficult. Ideas?
DarlaS
I don't have these, but I do have a lid opening tool I bought to open buckets of drywall mud and primer. Maybe that would work? It looks sort of like a big plastic pry-top bottle opener. Here it is: http://www.acehardware.com/product/index.jsp?productId=1345085 Edited July 23, 2009 by darlasowders

hillfarm
I bought several of the big plastic wrenches at Lowes when I started using the buckets. They are exactly the right tool for the job and work great. Mine were on sale for $1 each.

Blueridge
Yep, I did the wrench gadget for years until I discovered gamma lids. They come in different colors, so prairie gold wheat has a yellow one, red chief wheat has red, rice has blue, etc. They are great.
