athena1277
I'm getting ready to start FLL with dd for 1st grade. There are 100 lessons, but a school year is about 180 days. Do you do it every other day? Do one lesson a day til it "sticks"? I see where I could very easily go through nearly the whole 1st and 2nd grade lessons in one year, but I know I don't need to rush. I'm not one to plan daily lessons for an entire year, so I have to know how to pace it in the beginning. Help please!
Mrs. Lilac
I think in the intro of the book she talks about doing it 2 or 3 times a week.
sweetfeet
I did both FLL and WWE together. I scheduled FLL for m/w/f and I did days 1&2 of WWE on tues. and 3&4 on thurs. So 3 days of FLL per week took us through the year.
Erica in OR
Some lessons we combined, since they were short, or particularly easy. We finished the first grade portion well before the end of school, but decided to wait with the second grade part until this year. KrissiK
My plan is this - I'll spend the first 4 weeks or so on handwriting (we're doing A Beka). My boys really need this. Then, I'm starting up with FLL 3 days a week and I dug up a writing program from my old teaching days that I really liked called "Writing with Power" and we'll be starting that 2 days a week. I think I have enough lessons to go like that till the end of the year.
Zebra
We just started FLL 1 this week, and I am doing it on T/TH for a few weeks and then switching to T/W/TH. I actually sat down and counted the days so it would work out :tongue_smilie:.
