Jen500
I can't remember the title. The main character went into an old house, and found herself back in time. I think some witches lived in the house. Anyone? I think I read it at age 8 or so, so it's an older book.
AprilTN
Was it a book written by Ruth Chew?
lionfamily1999
Is it, A Wrinkle in Time (Madeleine L'Engle)? It sounds very similar.

I don't know, but you might try asking here: http://forums.abebooks.com/abesleuthcom This forum is fantastic for hunting down the names of the most obscure books you can imagine! You have to have a little patience sometimes, but rarely does a title go unsolved.
Jen500
Ok, I found it. Seems the title of the book has changed. The Wicked, Wicked Ladies in the Haunted House, by Mary Chase. http://www.amazon.com/Wicked-Ladies-Haunted-House/dp/037582572X/ref=sr_1_79?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1244146839&sr=1-
ereks mom
http://www.loganberrybooks.com I LOVE to visit this site. I could spend all afternoon there! Their nostalgia page is great. The book the OP was looking for is there. Apparently, a lot of people search for it. In part, the info says, "...It is called The Wicked, Wicked Ladies in the Haunted House... it was originally published as The Wicked Pigeon Ladies in the Garden. It was written by Mary Chase and illustrated by Don Bolognese and published by Scholastic Book Servi[c]es in 1968....A new hardcover edition (with new illustrations) was published in 2003, and the paperback followed in 2006..."
