Tammyla
Pink leg warmers a turned up collar polo shirt and an inside out grey sweat shirt...oh, oh and the twisted pink bandanna. Oh my... Hey, I think mom jeans might offer tummy control..Just a thought.:001_huh: Well, this explains my children's favorite fashion accessories. They were all wearing leg warmers the other day and I just had to ask them where they got them. I was expecting the answer to be Goodwill but no they bought them brand new at Rue 21. One of them has taken to wearing leggings under everything, of course this child has a style all her own but I can definitely see some 80s influence. Guest Virginia Dawn
I like polo shirts and I have worn them forever, BUT I didn't wear popped up collars in the 80's and I won't now. I didn't wear leggings or leg warmers. And I hate hate hate the re-emergence of shoulder pads. Just call me contrary.
Carol in Cal.
If the 80s clothing is coming back in style does this mean that mom jeans will no longer be mom jeans? They'll just be jeans? QUOTE] The jeans for you are called "Not Your Daughter's Jeans" (NYDJ, get it?) and they are cute! Mom jeans with a tude...

ilovemy6kids
I say a girl with her pants rolled up and safety pinned. Ahhh the good old days, now if I could only find my Pepsi sweatshirt and my Duran Duran posters. Sheri
Michelle T
Umm, I hate to mention this, but, um, parachute pants *are* coming back. I was looking through a magazine at the hospital this week (yes, a magazine from 2009), and THERE.THEY.WERE. on models no less. They are BRIGHT blue with a geometric black design all over. I think there might be some purple blotches on them too. DH wore them when we went dancing at an 80's music night a few months back, and all the 20-something year olds at the club were so jealous! I liked the neon colors that were stylish back then, but huge shoulder pads were awful. Hope those don't come back into style! tex-mex
I can't go back there. I just can't. I have seen a lot of bad eighties fashions come back, but this will jump the shark... LOL... shoulder pads are coming back too. I do have to admit, I loved how "BIG" my hair was in the 80's. (OMG...)
