  1. Editor in Chief is awesome, highly recommend for fun and challenge
  2. That's so helpful, @beckyjo to hear my life in your words. And thanks for the insight into how to encourage mathematical thinking, not just correction @HomeAgain.
  3. We have done two now and plan to do more. They offer a lot of fun for a low price. My boys 11 and 9 easily spend 1.5 h a wk and would spend lots more if I let them have more screen time. They give fun daily challenges as well as the weekly assignments. Our eldest loves the teamspeak feature where he talks to others from his team online at the same time ( we live in a rural area without peers, so it's been a Godsend). 4. I just signed my ds11 up for Dwane Thomas' live online class. We've loved his Visual Latin videos but just can't handle grading anymore. He offers Lingua Latina and Henle at good prices. Dwanethomas.org Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  8. I have an 11 yr old son with an inventing disposition. He likes debates, drawing, and projects. What have you done in these kind of categories to do a years- end synthesis of a subject ( such as Wilson's Logic)? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  12. We live overseas, so I'm always hunting for good books, especially free ones! I'm thinking primarily of books whose copyright has expired, but it could also be $1 books. Ready, set, go! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. We, with similar ages boys, love the 100 cupboards series, the Benedict society series, the Redwall series, and the Andrew Peterson's wing feather saga series! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  15. Jadeorchidsong, ds-11 is doing VL2 with Henle. Ds-9 is doing Latina Christiana. I want to get these cheap books (art of everyday Latin Adler) with simple translation sentences to switch it up a bit, let them do some online games and activities. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I think we (ds11 and ds9) will Finish math Keep plugging away on Latin (ds11) Keep Latin fresh (ds9) Focus on art and music appreciation and activities that get skipped a lot during the year Some PE skills focus Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. The sterling point series has a couple dozen total and we've loved the ones we've tried, Amelia Earhart, Geronimo, and Lawrence of Arabia. Middle school level. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  21. No, but I enjoyed my short stint studying Bahasa Indonesia! It's a Persian language. I hadn't heard of "study abroad " category. What is that? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  23. There is a GCSE test for it! That would be something he would take further into HS so the credits would apply towards HS, right? I'll look into testing at the uni. Not accredited or simply transferred, but might have testing for the language faculty. Thx! There are no foreign students studying here I could look into the Capitol and ask a friend who majored in P. studies in the states. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Thanks for that encouragement, everyone. Julie especially. I theoretically know we're a ways off from hs. But it's hard being overseas and homeschooling with only WTM Forum support (y'all are great!) I'm starting to see what is possible and have a lot to think about as I watch and help my son learn his dreams and what it's going to take to get there. Firstborns are hard like that! In other categories more than schooling!
