My oldest boy is 19 and his 17 and 16 yo brothers have both outgrown him. He is good natured and it doesn't seem to bother him. Well maybe except at work LOL. The 17 yo and him work together and everyone assumes the 17 yo is older.

We sweep the kitchen after every meal and wash it nightly. Vaccum the dining room atleast once a day, some days twice. My kids are messy :D

NW AR would fit perfectly, except land is insanely expensive imho.

SW MO has reasonable land prices, Springfield has decent hospitals, good size city for work and library, zoo etc. The homeschool laws seem pretty decent too.

She really didn't get into explaining the chromosone testing and there was so much going on I didn't ask specifically what they are looking for. He also has Hirschsprung's Disease , which we found out when he was only 4 days old. There are some disorders with seizures and hirschsprungs and they sound really scary to me right now. So I am staying away from Google and am going to just wait until I hear from her. I would really like the MRI redone. The first one was done here and if they redo it it would be at children's by a pediatric specialist, which the neuro said would be much better. He has taken his lamictal in the morning yesterday, will that affect his blood test? You post does give me hope! Fantastic for your Dd!

after the weird episode my 10 yo had last week. She ended up ordering an eeg, which they did today too. He has abnormal actvity, but didn't have any seizures during the 30 min eeg. She didn't see anything consistant with absence seizures. She said the constant abnormal activity could definitely be affecting his cognitive ability. The next step is to have his lamictal levels checked, which they did, and they also did a chromosone test. I am a bit nervous about that, but I am also glad it's being done. She raised his lamictal for now and depending on what the blood works shows she might change his meds. I realy don't want to change from the lamictal but I trust this Dr. She is looking over his MRI from March 08 and might redo that depending. After all this if there is no clear answer he will need a 24 hour eeg. So I don't feel like I learned anything new but I do fel like something is being done towards figuring out what exactly is going on.

My 17 yo graduated this year. He finished up early so he has had a few months of working/saving and planning for fall. He changed his major and is set to start at the CC in August.

I am far from an expert in things classical, but we are trying to stick to classical in our approach to the best of both my son's and my ability. We do memory work, we do copy work, we do narrations to our history, science and lit. We stick to the 4 year rotation. We talk talk talk. I am not sure if we will do latin or not. I'd like to, but we might end up doing a root program. We might never get to it. Time wll tell.

This was one library, I took out the book along with probably 30-50 others and returned it to the same library. I always have a large basket of books. I called and they are going to check the shelves again.

I got a letter today that I owe $26 for this missing/over due book. Are they kidding? The thing is I am pretty sure we returned it! Grrrrr

Well I guess my first question is did you get the approval in writing?
