I just received my first set of AoPS books. I don't know yet whether to be intimidated or in awe.

What a weekend----dd's FLL advanced to the next round and today we watched two friends become PhDs at the winter hooding ceremony!

Jumbled up day :-/ On one hand, preparing for a fun getaway weekend, tailgating with family & friends. On the other hand, getting ready to go to the funeral of a precious young man who lost his life in a car accident yesterday...

Dorm shopping with a girl is so much more fun than with a boy.

She's leaving on a jet plane...gone for 6 weeks, and she just finished her finals for HS yesterday.

I save Dh's life this morning. Very scary. Glad I remembered CPR from high school.

Dd rocked the state Science Olympiad competition---2 firsts, 2 seconds, and 1 seventh!

West Coast sunny weather. I'm planting strawberries tomorrow.

Skiing tonight...and it starts snowing. Beautiful!
