  1. for those of you who make these, where do you get your ideas to print off. I have found some, but I would like to find more...after all, I have 3 kids of different interests and needs. Thanks.
  2. I would store them in the fridge...in brownies...the eggs are baked...in your recipe, the cream cheese isn't baked...so I would. Maybe just me...but I would rather err on the side of caution.
  3. you freeze cookies and cookie dough. Sometimes, I mix up HUGE batches of cookie dough, bake some and freeze the rest of the dough. If I have time I freeze cookie dough balls...so all I have to do is pop the cookies dough on the cookie sheet and bake, but I have also just put a bunch in a container and freeze...but then you have to think far enough ahead to thaw the whole container before baking.
  4. wow...it appears, that either you like SOTW audios or you don't. We are going to use them for the first time here, really soon...I am hoping upon hoping that my kids like them...I am about to give up on history all together...so I am hoping this is going to save it for us.
  5. I have always wondered about something with these matresses...what if somethings spills on it..or someone pees on it (small child..not me (grin))...or someone throws up on it...how easy is it to clean?? I was told you can't put any type of matress protector on it either..is that true??
  6. I have the 6 qt. lift up type of KA. Mine is the professional one. I bought it because I heard that the cheaper one will give out if you are making big batches of bread or thick dough...and I wanted it for bread making and I didn't want to have to buy a 2nd one. That being said, I LOVE mine. I used it tons and I have not had any problems with it. I don't own any attatchments...yet...hope to look into that someday...just not now. I don't know if that is helpful...happy shopping!!
  7. America`s Original Savings Network-Welcome Page I have a friend who thinks this is interesting...but I am a a little leery...so I thought I would ask here. Kathy
  8. good to hear that...I did a google search too...found several places that said even overnight is ok...so I guess we'll be fine. thanks. Kathy
  9. I set some cream cheese on the counter top about 5 hours ago...it was supposed to soften...I forgot about it...is it still ok to eat??? Not to bake with. Kathy
  10. THIS is the BEST way...light and airy and very TASTY!!!
  11. Is it worth the money? It looks interesting...but didn't know if it worked as well as they claim. Kathy
  12. Multiplication - Times Table help to learn em' fast! what do you think??? My one main question is, if you are teaching multiplication and division to your 5-6 year old, when are they learning their adding and subtracting?? Kathy
  13. At what age do you start teaching grammar?? There are curriculums out there that start as early as 1st grade and others not until 5th...so how in the world is one to decide when to start??? Kathy
  14. Where do you guys find your information...and what sort of things have yo uput in your mini offices..especially for grade K, 2 and 3rd?
  15. Do any of you make these for your kids? Mini Offices if so, do you find that your kids rely on them more than what they should...or does it just help then gain confindence? Thanks.
  16. Really? That didn't make them lazy or anything?? Nathan would love that...I have often written the answer in a yellow marker and let him trace it...which he can do fairly well.
  17. I have been letting him verbally tell me the answers many times...so I was hoping that was ok.
  18. My 5 year old listens to everything we do here at home and picks up on lots of information...faster than my other two did. Anyway, becasue of that, the kindergarten Saxon Math was too beneath him and I started him in the 1st grade book...which, overall is just right for him, except his writing skills are not where his brain is. Should I be concerned if he can't write many of his answers small enough to fit in the spaces provided, that he still makes many of his numbers (and letters too, although that doesn't affect math) backwards.? He is totally understanding the acedemic part of it..and sometimes, he is even getting bored with the repetition...but we deal with that. What do you guys think?
  19. We own a couple of these (Duck Duck Bruce, Rat a Tat Cat, Scrambled States of America) and was wanting to get a few more for Christmas gifts...but with so many titles out there, I was wondering what Gamewright games you have and like. Kathy
  20. what an amazing little girl to have even thought to do that!!! I can't even conceive of the idea of one of my children getting sick like that. How we take our good health for granted. It is always good to be reminded of this once in a while.
