  1. Whole Chicken. Wash and dry. Stuff with cooking veggies (celery, garlic, onions, bell pepper, carrots, lemon, any combination), season with salt, pepper, and other favorite seasoning. Low 8-10 hours, High 4 hours. It's like a roasted chicken or shred for other dishes.
  2. :iagree::iagree::iagree: With everything here. (Except I've never helped a friend. :tongue_smilie:)
  3. Wow. You've gotten some great advice from the previous posters. Whatever you decide to do, be consistent. Decide on your plan of attack and go for it with consistency...every night. When sleep "training" at my house, I have to take the lead. DH will cave in to easily to the crying and do whatever it takes to get her to stop. Good luck! When you
  4. We just ordered calendars tonight. Sam's will give you an estimated delivery date at check-out. (Go to check-out before you do all the work and see what the date is.) Ours will be ready in about a week. I'm guessing, but the closer to Christmas the longer it will take. My dh made one for me last Christmas. I really enjoyed it this year.
  5. Cheering you on!!! My good friend took lessons last year, at 33, and it was one of the most rewarding things she did for herself. (She had a near-drowning experience as a kid too.) She went through highs and lows during the process, but she finished and was very, very proud. Have fun!!!
  6. Is it important that, when a child is learning to read, they use a finger to keep track of where they are? My DD6 prefers not to point at the word she is reading, but she looses her place. I'm not sure whether to push pointing at words or not. Thanks. Daniela
  7. Yeah! to the agreement between you and DH. I just wanted to share that you are not alone. I'm in a very similiar situation, but work 20 hours a week outside the home. All of this balancing...It's tough! I can't quit without my DH agreeing. He would not appreciate it. We've talked about the possibilities of me staying home full-time and yet it's as you describe...close but just out of reach.
  8. I could have written this post. I've been concerned that my DD isn't reading independently, but I feel better after reading these replies and suggestions. Thank you.
