Hi, I have been looking at the free workbooks online: http://www.mhschool.com/reading/treasure_workbooks/national.html and was wondering if you need and/or recommend using the Treasures Reading book for the same grade level. I notice the workbooks reference a story but not sure if the reading book is necessary or helpful for the workbooks. Thanks! Andrea

Hi, I think these workbooks look great. I used the Language art ones this year and my older child enjoyed them. I was thinking of using the 2nd grade Complete Curriculum for my 2nd grade child. I looked at the subjects and it seems to cover everything that we have been learning. I have been using CLE Math and LA. What do other people think that have tried this? Do you think it is enough for Math, and Language Arts & Writing (we will be using AAS for Spelling and are fine for reading)? Thanks for your help!

I have checked it out several times at the library. It looks like a great book! It takes difficult concepts and makes them very simple. I would think you could use the experiments easily with a 2nd grade child and just read from some living science books and a science encyclopedia for a solid year.

Thanks for your help! I was thinking maybe adding in American Girl Felicity. I think the book covers that time period, correct? I think it covers 1565-1887.
