  1. I have the Friday Night Knitting Club waiting to be read myself. I have just gotten addicted to knitting and couldn't resist. Sorry, haven't started reading it yet to offer an opinion though. Let's just read it together next, ok?:)
  2. The rain and storms are here right now. Bleah! I have to drive to Knox. to take ds to a DR appt. at noon. I hope things settle by then. Kelli -- are you ok? I wonder if she lost power perhaps?
  3. How do you add comments (yeah, doh question, but it's past my bedtime and I am quickly turning into a pumpkin!) with the reps?
  4. How about looking up those who are having a rotten day and pass some on that way? You're sweet, btw!:)
  5. I told dh he's on watch duty tonight. It won't be coming through here (Knox. area) until later. He's a night owl anyway. Stay safe all!
  6. Oh man! That's scary. Have you a safe place in your house?
  7. And how do you even assign the rep things anyway? And how many do get to give? Clueless here!
  8. After it works it way through your area, guess it is heading this way next. Woohoo! We've got a lot full of really tall trees. The last big wind thing last week took one out across the road and did some damage to a house and car. It always makes me nervous when those huge trees start swaying in the big wind. I'm with you on that one Kelli!
  9. I have no clue about a possible price for this item. It is a queen sized bed, solid oak with headboard, footboard, side rails all solid oak and wood support slats. It is a nice heirloom quality bed. It can also be converted to hold a double sized mattress. If I were to advertise something this, how might I go about pricing it? It is in fine shape from a nonsmoking home. Can anyone advise me on this please? Thanks!
  10. It is in this house. I am the only female also known as the finder of lost things. Things could jump out, smack any of the males in this house in the head, and they still would have trouble finding those things! However, in my dad's house, I think it is the opposite. His wife can't find anything and dad is really anal (putting it mildly). But then, my FIL would lose his head if it were not attached. And we swear sometimes that that isn't even a given!
  11. Have you noticed a timing of when those doubts occur more often? Like, say, once a month or so? I was wondering if those pesky hormones affect me so that around about that time I might get more insecure (and less rational) with what we are doing? This just popped into my head and got me wondering -- hmmm. Anyone else notice a correlation like this? This is not a proven causal relationship, but possibly could be. Lets do some statistical analysis on this, ok? Nah, not really, just kidding!:p:rolleyes:;)
  12. Oh no! I am sorry! That is so miserable. I really hope you all push through it quickly. Sending lots of chicken soup your way.
  13. My boys found a deer skeleton in our woods. It still had part of one leg intact with hide and hoof so it was easily identified. They go back to that spot every time they are out there. Good lessons to be learned from observing nature in that way. So, a cool vote here. (although I admit I wouldn't want it actually in my house!)
  14. One idea (and this happened to us). We had a chimney into which a critter got stuck and expired. Ours came from that. It was nasty! Once we got someone to get the ex-critter out, they were gone. Hope you find out the source. It was so creepy!
  15. No fracture! Just use as needed (that wrist) and don't do anything wild with sports. Swimming is ok though. Thankfully, because that is the sport of month. Soccer doesn't start until March! Just really happy things are ok! ANd other good news : the ortho is a neighbor/friend/church member. His oldest has sat with my boys. He said that if something ever happens again and it is outside of office hours, to call him. That way we could save an ER visit! What a nice guy! So great news all ther way around. Thanks for the well wishes. Much appreciated here!:D
  16. GO right ahead! (I can't stand Tom Petty so that would be grounds enough for me);)
  17. Oh absolutely! We do this game where if we need more, we call for help from the next place value up. He had just written the number 911 for another answer and thought that was funny. Thanks for asking though. He definitely knows about that!
  18. My ds (6). I put it on my blog if you are interested. It was kind of cute.
  19. I have about 5 hundred gillion trillion bazillion here already. You think they would notice if I recycled them into the eggs? ;) Cute idea though! After yesterday's "big move" of trying to put the Legos into and already packed toy room, I told ds "NO MORE". No more are ever coming in to this house! We'll see. I'm fairly certain I will cave on that one!
  20. LOL! It wouldn't surprise me. He seems to have to put them up in and around his mouth all the time. Drives me crazy with that. thanks!
  21. Well, I don't put mine in the dishwasher. Except for the stainless pot. They get washed by hand. The grill pan could be a big pain, but soaking it in warm water with a bit of Dawn cuts the yuckies wonderfully. And no scrubber things on the coated pans. What pieces are you interested in? There are quite a few types: coated, not coated, stainless, etc. It is really nice to have decent cookware if you enjoy cooking.
