  1. My dd is in need of a "French Blue" dress shirt/oxford it can be short, 3/4(prefer), or full sleeve . I can't seem to find one at a reasonable price. She is only going to wear it twice..so I don't want to spend a lot of money. She wears XS to S in juniors If anyone can help..I would appreciate it!
  2. We have used home2teach.com I had been happy with them until last year. My son took Research Writing from them and I was not happy with it at all! This year my son is using write4homeschool.com So far so good.
  3. My daughter would LOVE that!
  4. All 3 of those classes will be taught in a co-op. They will be learning how to read the language and play act the scenes.
  5. How does this look? Math--Saxon 87 History--Sonlight 7 Science--Apologia General English--Rod and Staff 7..Worldy Wise...Creative Writing..Readers to Writers(maybe) Other co-op classes Shakespeare Drawing Sewing Cooking Music--violin and piano
  6. We love sonlight for history. Ds is currently using Core 100 for 9th grade. My plans are to use core 300 for 10th and 400 for 11th. I would love another history for 12th grade, but don't want to use core 200. What would you suggest using--is there anything like Sonlight for ancient history?
  7. Thanks..for your advice. I am trying to get a jump on things as well. Ds completed a couple of subjects last year and I need to keep a record of it, if not I am afraid that I will forget in 4yrs!!
  8. where did you find this? I have been looking for something like that.
  9. Just curious if anyone has used an outside record keeping company for highschool. If so how did you like it?
  10. What do you have in your Highschool planner? So far I have Attendance Records Course Plan Sheet Grade chart Volunteering and Community Service sheet What else??
  11. Ds did a play over the summer and I would like to give him credit for it. Rehearsal was 3wks--2hrs 3x a week and had 12 shows.
  12. Do you put on your dc's transcript that they completed Geometry--if so how do you write it down? I am thinking about having ds do TT Geometry through this summer next year--that is what I had oldest ds do.
  13. Dd is going to take a drawing class this year. The teacher asked that they have at least mid-grade supplies--no Rose Art or Crayola supplies. I don't know anything about art supplies so what would be considered mid-grade? As of right now the supply list runs about $100. My mom has helped me cut this down by giving dd some of her art supplies that she doesn't use. The teacher has suggested Dick Blick's colored pencils--24ct and Dick Blick's Studio Markers--12ct. These pens alone will cost around $35 plus shipping or my gas driving to the store which is about 45miles. My question is what would be considered mid-grade supplies and ones that are under $17 each..is there anything?
  14. I am looking for different methods of grade keeping. We have mac computers so I have not found any programs.
  15. I had to pay for her to ship it to me..she did not pay it. I don't think it is right. I only paid $9 for the book that includes the shipping price. If I ship it back to her then I am paying $8 in shipping and I still have to purchase the book. So what is the point the seller gets off for saying she will refund me my money..and I am still out the cost of shipping both ways!?!? That is NOT right.
  16. I purchased a book off of ebay and it stated that there was no writing--other than a question number circled, no highlighting or any other markings. I e-mailed the seller and told her that there was highlighting, questioned answered in pencil and pen. She told me to send it back and she would refund the amount that I paid for it...Ok well I will be out of the shipping cost..from and back to her. I do not think this is right. I told her that and asked that she refund a few dollars and that I could send pictures of the pages that were written on. Do you think this is right? What would you do?
  17. How often did you do this weekly? I was hoping to finish this in a year, but I am doing history as well. So I thought I would do history 3 days 1 wk and 2 days the next and keep alternating like that throughout the year. So on the days that we are not doing history I thought we could do Around the World...does this sound like it will work? I haven't figured out how to schedule Around the World, yet..any ideas? Planning on using this with ds 9th.
  18. I called the lady and she refunded the money. She said it was the second package that she had problems with..the other one was damaged.
  19. You would call them?? I just called the P.O. and they said since I paid via paypal that I need to go through them. They suggested I file a police report. Maybe I could tell her that as well. Would I call the FL police or here in Ga?
  20. I purchased a set of books from another board and have yet to receive it. The lady has deleted her e-mail addy---she is on this board but is only a visitor...I tried to post a negative on her, but since it wasn't on this board I couldn't..or I don't know how. I pulled her name and city up on searchbug and found her with her phone number. How far would you go? I am out $$ and now have to purchase more books.
  21. I wish the bus did come out here...I would definitely be telling him to take it.
  22. He does not live with us..but will be moving back in at the end of August--might be sooner since I have to take him to work now--we DON't want him on our insurance!! I will have him try them if this company drops him. BTW: His first was major to his car only--ran into a hitch on a truck. 2nd someone rear-ended him. This one..he didn't have time to apply his breaks--the other person was stopped and they were pushed into someone else. Ds and the two in the first car were take to the hospital.
  23. Last year was our first year. My ds was in Beginners Band playing the clarinet and my dd was in Beginners String. Was your dd the one that Mr. Uterhardt commented on, at the May concert, that would play any instrument he asked?
