  1. Amazon has Logic to the Rescue: Adventures in Reason free in the Kindle edition. This is the one that SWB recommends in the 4th edition of WTM.
  2. I have a Sonlight coupon code that expires on Aug 31st. It's $15 off an order of $50 or more. Please PM me if you would like it.
  3. Can afterschoolers take this program as well if there are no sections that accommodate after school hours, especially in different time zones?
  4. I am also thinking of signing up my ds for the intro to expo course because it's in the evening, but I'm not sure if he should be in that one or Expo 1 (but Expo 1 wouldn't fit our schedule). But he'll most likely be going to school next year, but I would still like to supplement his writing. For my older ds, I was hoping to be able to put him in Intro to rhetoric, but have the same problem.
  5. Yes, I would like evening courses too, especially since we are in a different time zone.
  6. By Matt Whitling. Has anyone used this for high school? If so, is the teacher manual necessary, and how independently can it be used by the student? Is there a better poetry resource for high school? Thanks.
  7. boscopup and Paradox5, thanks for the suggestion to concentrate on the basics first before starting literature analysis. I will do that. Thanks!
  8. I am considering getting a literature guide for my 7 year old son who still struggles with reading and writing. I have looked at several online and would like to know what others think of them. They are Veritas Press First Favourites, Memoria Press Storytime Treasures and More Storytime Treasures, and Lightning Literature's grade 1 pack. I would also be using Writing with Ease 1 with my son, so I'm wondering if I actually should get the literature guides or just use WWE. Thanks!
  9. Thanks for everyone's suggestions. I will be looking into these!
  10. I'm looking for online science programs for grades 5, 6, 7, 9. Friends of mind have been using SOS science and feel that they need a change. Any suggestions for programs that can be done fairly independently? Thanks.
  11. How are we supposed to read Google books? I can't figure it out. I don't see a download button anywhere.
  12. Thanks, everyone, for your suggestions. We'll be going with Rod and Staff.
  13. I am trying to decide which spelling program to get for my 5th grade ds. He is a natural speller and would like a program where he can work independently. Would Rod and Staff spelling or Spelling Workout be better, and should I go with grade level, or use one grade up? Thanks.
  14. Thanks for everyone's thoughts and suggestions! I like the idea of getting the checklists and lists of games used each year. Yes, this is for my 6 year old. I do plan on supplementing with another program, and will be looking into that next. Thanks :001_smile: !
  15. Has anyone used RightStart's Activities for the AL Abacus as their main program? If so, do you just start from the beginning and work through the book? Thanks.
  16. I have a fifth grader who is not a strong reader. I already have Roger Lancelyn Green's version, and I think it would be too difficult. Does anyone have an easier version that you recommend? Thanks.
  17. Thanks for the idea. I did find samples on the Vision Forum website. Here are samples of the mp3's and the study guide. Here is a sample of the DVDs, although I can't get these to work on my computer.
  18. Has anyone's dc attended any of these? What are your thoughts? Are they worth it? Thanks.
  19. Has anyone used The History of the World DVDs and study guide by Vision Forum? Did you like it? What grades is it meant for? Is it enough for high school? Thanks.
