  1. Thanks so much. I was hoping to spend the $ on something more "fun" than maps!!:tongue_smilie: YAY! Melissa in St Louis
  2. I am doing Biblioplan Ancients this year and planning on using the SOTW AG....do I need to buy the Biblioplan maps or are the same kind of maps in the AG? I just don't want to spend $18 on it if I don't have to....but if it will make life easier, then I am there!!!!! :) (done rambling!) Melissa in St Louis
  3. You guessed it! ;) The monkey is our official mascot. Carmels are our official candy. Oh yes, we are VERY official! :D Melissa
  4. THANK YOU THANK YOU! Monday marks the first day of the Familia amoris Classical Academy! :D
  5. Looking to translate Family of Love and Two Monkeys Thanks so much!!! :tongue_smilie:
  6. I have heard that you can freeze it in a disposable pie pan, then ziplock the frozen disk....when pie time comes you can just pop the filling part into the crust and bake. Never tried it, but I'm intrigued!:D
  7. I am not a confrontational person, but all people want to talk about are "hot button" issues....politics, kids, etc. Instead of arguing, I don't participate, and then I think I look smug. I also feel like I don't participate in "mainstream" culture (tv, movies, etc) and it bothers me that people are concerned with such. :001_huh: You're right: weather is the only safe topic!!!!:tongue_smilie:
  8. I KNOW I have seen a kiddo tea set with a storage rack/caddy (the cups hang on little hooks, etc) in some magazine. WHERE did I see it??? I need to order it and can't find it/remember!!!! :tongue_smilie: Thanks! Melissa in St Louis
  9. PLEASE help me decide if we want the deluxe dining plan or the basic....On the trip will be my DH, myself, DS6 and DD3. We are not big breakfast eaters, except for my DH who would LOVE a big breakfast; kiddos and I are happy with a poptart (ok, I am happy as long as I have a diet coke! ). We reservations for Crystal Palace, Tony's on Town Square, and Chef Mickey's. We are planning on going to Cosmic Ray's, Restaurantasaurus, and Toy Story Pizza Planet. Aside from that, we are open to whatever. We are staying at All Star Music, and I know we are eating there the first night and maybe some breakfasts (unless we pack poptarts!). We are there 2 half days and 2 full days. We love the idea of having everything paid for in advance and not having to worry about anything; on the other hand, money is tight and saving the $200+ would be super!!! HELP!!! Melissa in St Louis
  10. The Skyrail is the one I had decided on, but then I realized I hadn't asked the wise hive for suggestions before I bought! YAY!:D
  11. DS is turning 6 next month and is an avid "inventor" and builder of "contraptions." He has the Discovery Toys marble run, but has outgrown it....so I am looking for reccommendations for a good one. I don't want to break the bank with something that falls apart or is too difficult to put together. What do you have and love?:bigear:
  12. I'm just concerned because this is the first thing we are doing on the trip. Get to hotel. Play, eat, sleep. Wake and go to Pooh breakfast. Is that ok?:001_huh:
  13. I read in "Walt Disney World with Kids 2008" that character breakfasts take 2 hours!!!?!?!? Is this true? We have reservations for the Pooh breakfast at the Crystal Palace at 8:10 oe day.....
  14. Just wondering after your post and haven't seen you post again since. Just making sure!:grouphug:
  15. First off, glad to hear I am not the only one nursing this long. :D Thanks, ladies, for all the imput. We are going to gradually stop with the goal of her being able to go to my mom's over night on the 18th a bit more non-dependant on "milks." Thanks so much. Your stories are all so warm and reminded me I'm not alone. :grouphug:
  16. She is weaned excedpt for falling asleep at night and once at night. DH needs time away with me and my mom hates that DD cries when she keeps her overnight b/c she wants "milks." My mom has watched her overnight 2 other times and I guess it was horrible. :tongue_smilie:She nurses for a bit awake, then rolls over and falls asleep w/o nursing, so she is not technically nursing when she konks out, she just needs a sip. I have been telling DD that soon we will be drinking milk from a cup like big brother. I think, as much as I have loved nursing her, I am also ready to stop. :001_huh: DH works nights, so no way he can help w/ this at all.
  17. (Melissa in St Louis takes a deep breath, and decides to ask even though she's embarrassed...) DD turns 3 in Sept....she still nurses at night....Although I've totally loved nursing her this long, I think it is time to stop (she however, does not). Sooooooo, I read online tonight about putting lemonjuice or vinegar on the "scenes of the crime" and that usually after trying a few times, the toddler will not want to nurse any longer.....I'm tempted. :001_huh: Is this wrong? Is she going to hate me? :tongue_smilie: Goodness.
  18. Definately just going to chill at the hotel the first night. Definately buying Ears there. Still pondering: Animal kingdom - hotel to rest - Hollywood studios or hollywood studios - hotel to rest - animal kingdom what seems to be a better plan? Still researching: SciFi Cafe. Any other cool places to eat at Hollywood Studios if we do not do the Little Einsteins breakfast? TIA!:D
  19. LOVE IT! LOVE IT! I am rediculously thrifty, and made my own laminated page and used cup hooks. I used the business card template to make up the little cards. Love it! :D
  20. ) We arrive in Orlando at 3:40pm, if I have read here correctly, I should get to All-Star Music Resort around 5? Do I plan on spending the evening there with a 5yr old and 2 yr old and my hubby or should we venture out - maybe to Rainforest Cafe in Animal K, since park admission isn't required there? 2) I am breaking up one day into 1/2 Animal Kingdom and 1/2 Hollywood Studios. I wasn't even planning on Hollywood Studios, but that is where Lightning McQueen and Little Einsteins are and we have a MAJOR CARS fan here. What do I do first, AK or HS? If we do HS first, we can have breakfast w/ Little Einsteins...but will AK be better in the morning? :tongue_smilie: 3) Is the SciFi Drive in at Hollywood scary? Are the movies frightning to some easily-scared children? If so, where is a fun place for a quick dinner there? 4) Do I buy Mouse Ears before we go and give them to the kiddos once we get there or can I get them at the resort or what? We are celebrating both of thier birthdays and want to make it really special. I have been on the DisBoards the better part of the day, and I have a somewhat working plan happening!!!! WOOHOO!!!:hurray:
