  1. Thanks for responding... do you bring the flowers *to* the rectal? Or do you bring them a different time around the recital? I'm just wondering if bringing them to the recital might make the other students feel odd if they didn't bring anything??? Thanks.
  2. Is it customary to give gifts to your children's piano teacher? Is so, when do you do it? At the recitals? What sort of gift do you give? New to piano... just wondering how it all works! Thanks!
  3. I am helping out with schooling for my cousin's kids for a while. They were doing Calvert. What style of cursive does this curriculum use? I am not going to continue with Calvert (and have never seen it), but I want to be consistant on their handwriting practice. Thanks!

  5. I see that there is a teachers book for Lifepacs. Is that just the answer book? Is the parent's job basically to check their answers? If they get them wrong, do you make them go back and correct them? Thanks.
  6. Thank you. I thought it sounded too good to be true. If anyone else wants to chime in...please do!
  7. Did anyone use SOS for highschool, and if so, was your highschooler pleased with it? Were you? How time intensive is it for the parent? Do you think they came out well educated and ready for college?
  8. Okay, I REALLY, REALLY appreciate your responses. Maybe I should go more with a Shabby Chic look... still girly, but more grown up. Thanks again!!
  9. Yes, we would. ;) I'm really okay with redoing it in two years. I just want to make sure she would like it now at her age.
  10. I am outfitting a bedroom for my brother's 7 year old daughter (he has custody and moving and I'm decorating). I found the cutest bedding set, but want to make sure it's not too young for a 7 year old. I think my 10 year old would think it's too babyish for herself, so I want to make sure a 7 year old wouldn't think that!
  11. I meant I wasn't trying to act like I was someone else. I was just *me* talking about a real problem.
  12. I would check out the top loader HE machines! Has all the benefits of the front loader without the stink. LOVE mine.
  13. I posted a sincere post the other week, and was called a troll by someone, then the thread disappeared. I'm not a troll. I'm a real person that posted about a real event in my life. So, I'm a little confused myself about the whole troll thing.
  14. Yes, and to make matters ever harder, we have several bodies home all day to make the housework that much more!!
  15. Chabani is actually the only sweetened yogurt i can eat, since I'm hypoglycemic. If you look at the ratio of protein vs. carbs, it's actually quite balanced! It has a lot of protein. I'm thrilled to have found a quick snack I can actually eat that tastes good. Of course, plain greek yogurt would work too, but it's nice to have a treat with the flavors and not have my sugars go low. :)
  16. Don't do it!! Yes, we had doubts. And we sorely regret it. We even tried a reversal but it didn't work. :( If I could go back, we would have just used birth control instead of doing something so drastic and life changing.
  17. I started going to Aldi recently just to save money, but I'm really surprised at the good quality of some of the items. Clancy's Restaurant Style Tortilla Chips are just as good, if not better than the Tostados brand. And the mozz. cheese sticks that come in a pack are soooo good! I couldn't believe it. Just last week, I got some expensive brand of mozz. cheese sticks from the regular grocery store and they were so rubbery. I expected as much with the Aldi brand, but no! I had my husband eat some too, and he also said how good they were. I'm so excited and wondering what other treats I'm missing out on! Do you have some favorites? :bigear:
  18. If so, how wealthy is wealthy enough to be a part of it? I like the idea of teaching social graces. But wondering if we would fit in? :bigear:
  19. i would sell my kindle and just use the kindle app on the tablet. that's what i do. my life is on my tablet. calendar, recipes, email, books, bible, etc. except for very long emails, i never use my laptop anymore.
  20. Ma and Michelle Dugger... one in the same. God's grace to these special woman.
  21. Okay, I called them. They said they use "Ignitia" which is an Alpha Omega product for Christian Schools. I called Alpha Omega and asked them how similar it is to SOS, and they said it's almost the same thing except that Ignitia is online based and SOS is cd based.
  22. I thought I remembered looking at it before and them using SOS, but now the website doesn't say anything about that. So, I'm confused. I should probably just call them and ask. Will report back! :)
  23. Does anyone know about Liberty U's high school program for homeschoolers? They offer dual enrollment at the same time (junior and senior year) which I think is excellent. I'd love to know what type of curriculum they use, and how the whole thing works. Their website doesn't give a good idea of that. If anyone has taken from them, I'd love to hear more. Thanks!:bigear:
