  1. So happy to hear that Beyond is working for you. Maybe you should do like a previous poster said and plug your ears or do like I'm 'supposed' to be doing and stay off the boards :) I see that it is so easy to be influenced by others opinions.
  2. Oh and ummmm you know you love H-O-D when you are B-R-O-K-E and yet you will scrape up every penny to get what you need for the next level and you're not even going to need it for another 6 months (with your excuse being that you need more 'reading' material). :glare:
  3. Amen and Amen!!! HOD has been such a blessing in our home and I have been telling everyone about it that will listen. I am so happy to have found it in my second year and not later. My little man will be 3 next month and I am dying to start Little Hands with him--I am just not sure if I can hold out until he's 4.:001_huh:
  4. Ok! This really cracked me up. You know you love HOD when you visit a forum looking for the letters H-O-D and skip over all the rest of the threads. And yes, I have read the same HOD threads numerous times.  Did I mention that I take my manuals with me everywhere that I go? When I need quiet time, I take them and drive to the next street to sit in my van and read them. I've done this a few nights in a row and one home owners actually scared me half to death because he knocked on my window asking me why I keep parking outside of his home. I told him it was so that I can 'read' my HOD manuals in peace and he looked at my like I was crazy. Can you believe that? He thought I was crazy! LOL! :D :D
  5. I am SO with you on this. I've tried 'really' hard to hate the science with all the hopping around from this page to that page BUT it gets done.
  6. My DD8 (3rd) spends about 30-45 mins on math. We use R&S though.
  7. Hi Dorinda, We are 1/2 way through Rod & Staff English 2 and wanted to use a separate writing program.
  8. Your post made me laugh--I'm glad I'm not alone. My DH thinks I'm crazy
  9. Hi there, This is my first year with HOD---we are using Little Hearts for His Glory (1st grade) and Bigger Hearts for His Glory (grade 3). I absolutely love it. I have a love/hate relationship with schedules because I don't like being told what to do :D . But, I am loving having everything planned out for me with HOD.
  10. ... you keep sitting down reading through your manuals over a cup of tea like their a novel or something :D Yup! This is what I do!!!
  11. What are your suggestions? Have you used Writing Strands? If so, what did you think about it? Thanks!
  12. This made me chuckle. Great idea though! :D
  13. WOW!! Thanks ladies. Your posts have made me feel a lot better. Seeing how expensive it could be in the upper grades has me a little nervous. I have 3 children and I am combining my 6 & 8 year olds and plan on it for as long as I can. This means that I will only have to buy 1 guide each year since my little can reuse the others. He's only 3 so I have plenty of time.
  14. Maybe I just need to stay off the boards? I am using HOD this year and plan on using it for the long haul (I really hope so). I really NEED for this to work. Sorry! Just thinking out loud and realizing that I need to quit visiting so many different boards.:D
  15. Thank you! I will have that same problem nest year when I start LHTH with my then 4 yr old. I couldn't imagine running 3 guides.
