  1. We have had Clearplay for 4 years and enjoyed having it. I really don't like seeing a movie with profanity or nudity so this works perfectly. Our main reason for getting it was that our teenage boys were complaining about how their friends got to see this movie and that movie. At this age, we have tried to say "yes" when we have the opportunity. When a movie comes out at the theaters that they are interested in, we ask them to wait for the movie to come out on DVD so we can use Clearplay. They are fine with waiting.
  2. My teenage son plays soccer and his clothes are always stinky, especially under the arm pits. My husband's towels can have that body odor smell, too. Here is the solution that works for me. 1 cup vinegar, 2 tablespoons baking soda, regular laundry detergent in hot water rigorous machine cycle. Do not pour the vinegar and baking soda directly on your clothes because it may splotch your clothes. I was told that the stinky smell is bacteria and can become worst if you leave the clothing for days. Obviously, do not wash the stinky clothes with other clothes because the bacteria can spread and the stink can contaminate. You athletic mom's can thank me later. :) Donna
  3. I'll be interested in the responses. We have the exact same problem in our household. Thanks for asking this question. Blessings.
  4. I would not try to do IEW until 4th grade. My oldest struggled with IEW when he was in 5th grade but it was more workable for my youngest in 4th grade. It helps if your child is mastering basic grammar. Blessings.
  5. I don't have words of wisdom but I did want you to know that I prayed for you just now. Praying you would feel some comfort and peace soon.:grouphug:
  6. What do you do with your left over Christmas ham? I have frozen half but what should I do with the rest?
  7. I have to agree with what others have said. Relationships are what makes my house a home. Although, I do enjoy candles and music. Blessings.:iagree:
  8. So was it open on New Years Day or did they give those employee a much deserved break?
  9. I remember that happening to me when I was little. It seemed like such a big deal to the adults so I knew I must have missed s-o-m-e-t-h-i-n-g.:D
  10. I went through my linen closet and bagged up some old children's sheets. My boys haven't used these sheets in years. It is always hard for me to get rid of my children's things because I am so sentimental.
  11. I used TT Pre-Algebra with my son and very much regret it. He lost that year of math and he is excellent in math. It might be because he was not motivated by the computer teacher and could be different with your child.
  12. We got the game Settlers of Cantan this Christmas. It is a huge hit. I've not seen it in the stores. I had to order it online. Blessings.
  13. I read the book forwards and backwards. I did exactly what they said to do and it did not work for my son. Hope it works better for you.
  14. Wishing we could have a real coffee time together. Praying for your family. Love you Cindy!
