  1. For K I'd focus on reading, writing, and basic arithmetic. In small, gentle doses. How often do you want to school? What curriculum have you chosen?
  2. So pics of their stuff with glowing reviews isn't something a vendor would be unhappy about? I'm so paranoid about doing it wrong.
  3. I know about making copies for other people to use, or to be able to resell- I know that's wrong. But what about taking a picture of a workbook page to put on a blog? To show your child's progress? Does that violate copyright?
  4. I'm not the OP, but here's how I did mine: http://concordiaclassicalacademy.blogspot.com/2009/06/organizational-post.html
  5. http://www.welltrainedmind.com/forums/showthread.php?t=105601 There's a link to the previous thread. :)
  6. We're using FLL, WWE, Spelling Workout, Memoria Press Cursive Copybook, Singapore 2A, Miquon Orange, SOTW1 with activity guide, Artistic Pursuits, and some sciency stuff.
  7. RR seems pretty good at getting stuff out- I've had back ordered stuff take a couple of weeks, not months.
  8. I've had my eyes on that- do you think it's a help?
  9. If you've already read the hardbound, overview book, I'd just buy the workbook.
  10. I think most people do either Singapore or the Key to... series.
  11. Welcome to the area! Good luck with the motivation- and the weather change. :D
  12. I just posted my paper plans and schedules for this fall if anyone is interested. Anyone else have any they'd like to share? I love seeing people's paperwork! http://concordiaclassicalacademy.blogspot.com/2009/06/organizational-post.html
  13. I have the whole set of McGuffey's and I'm using the Primer with DD1 (5). She likes it, I like it- the lessons are short but great for practice.
  14. No answers, but I was planning on buying it at the end of 1st to begin during the "botany" study. I'm interested, as well.
  15. We're starting SOTW1 this fall, as well. We bought the AG, the book, and the tests. I've already mapped out in a binder which books I need to request and when. And we've bought some of the Bellerophron coloring books to go with it.
  16. For 1st grade? I've read that section like 30 times and I haven't seen that- I wonder how I keep missing things. :) Do you have a page number so I can read how she says to do them?
  17. Also- declaring your little one by age not ability allows them to go at their own pace- that might mean they stay ahead of that they even out in a few years. That's my plan. :001_smile:
