  1. I am impressed!! It’s an impossible goal for me. I am not even going to attempt it! LOL. I may do the dips though..dips give you great looking arms (as do pull ups, I am sure).
  2. Hahaha! Been there done that! :toetap05:
  3. I have no idea what we are talking about but…. She can hide out in the storage room, if she cleans it out she will have quite a nice space for herself!
  4. Thanks for sharing! My daughter can’t wait to do this next year.
  5. I think we need to merge the two threads..now we have a double Friday/ Week One..oops. A weekly thread is a good idea. We are all over the place with days... I also finished the sit-ups. Ergh. I am still looking forward (not) to the last day of squats for this week.
  6. This is very true. LOL!! Ha,ha, ha..do it! Chucki has Vulturebutt but you can have StinkyInk, Wink! I am copying this list for future reference. Good one!
  7. Interesting thread-- I “shifted†my personality, partly due to life experiences, partly due to changing my belief system! I now score differently on personality quizzes. Hahaha. I am sure it’s not that much difference, but there is a shift. I then changed my screen name to celebrate my new found freedom. Tee hee. Maybe other people who have changed also wanted their new avatars/names to reflect that. Hmm, it’s a thought! We are also constantly growing and learning new things..I do believe we sometimes change to reflect that experience. Bwa hahaha!! LOL, :smilielol5:
  8. No, they didn’t. I think the name generator calculates certain names as the same. For instance, both Charlene and Claire also come up as Daisy, and neither one of those is actually my name. I would also be very surprised if we did share the same real name. That would be cool. :thumbup1: Thanks! :)
  9. I was going to say yoga as well.
  10. Oh, that's right! I was a member.
  11. :seeya: It looks like we have the same first name. Hahaha. I am Daisy Tolkien, what fun. Or Idril Annare. LOL. I am glad you are feeling better, Chucki. I hope you guys don’t mind me tagging along here..I am just reading with interest. :leaving:
  12. It looks like we are doing a new one each week. Feel free to start one if no one else does!
  13. Well, I guess you are right..the website and your pastor (haha) seem to dance around the issue. But if you will research Charles Fillmore (as you know, he is the founder of Unity), you can see that he taught and believed in reincarnation (read this). Also, Unity is based on the New Thought movement, which is heavily entrenched with many reincarnation teachings. But I am glad to hear it’s not an issue at your church. Maybe I wouldn’t feel uncomfortable. Thanks so much for pointing that out!
  14. Episcopalians are an interesting bunch. I had no idea they held such a diverse set of beliefs, until recently. My in-laws are Episcopalian; my FIL is more traditional, while my MIL is very New Age..I finally understand exactly why that works for them. I always thought my MIL was way off in left field, apparently not so much. Hahaha. (This comment was not meant to be disrespectful towards Episcopalians, I think it’s a very interesting religion and I like them a lot.)
  15. It’s fascinating reading about all of the various beliefs and denominations. Enjoy!
  16. I am still in! Where did everybody go? LOL. I also started the squats.
  17. Yes! A little too much at times... When I notice people following my hand movements instead of looking me in the eyes, I know it's time to tone it down a bit.
  18. I agree! I think you hit the nail on the head; the term Progressive Christian is very broad indeed. It’s more of a philosophical way of viewing life than an organized religion with a set of beliefs. I really like the Thomas Jefferson Bible. I do consider myself a Christian, of which variety I am not sure anymore. I do believe in the Bible and Jesus and many “fundamentals†as well. But I don’t really fit into any box at the current time. I feel as if I am on a journey, letting God lead me. I have enjoyed some of the principals of Unity and I enjoy reading the Daily Word, in a nondenominational sort of way. I like that’s it always based on a scripture and I find it to be very uplifting. I don’t believe in reincarnation, personally, so I don't think I would feel comfortable attending a Unity Church. However, I believe in the power of “positive†practice (prayer, thinking, affirmations, etc) and I feel that there is much truth to these practices, and that physics come into play as well. I feel comfortable combining those practices with my version of Christianity. So I guess I can post here too.
  19. I have had that happen to me before too. LOL. It was on this page.
