  11. Thank you for playing.....:D I personally could do without ever having to see, smell or eat SPAM. But, my dear husband grew up in Hawaii and loves it. He has passed he gourmand tastes to our dear children, and alas I feel compelled to fry it now and again! :tongue_smilie:
  12. I'm having a SPAM trivia contest on my blog today in honor of the Hawaiians love affair with SPAM. In the event of a hurricane SPAM is one the first things Hawaiians stock up on...right after toilet paper and rice! SO if you think you know SPAM check it out. There will be a pretty nifty prize for the winner. p.s. I DO have music playing on my blog...turn the volume up or down accordingly. ;)
  13. We typically have a read-aloud going, explore state parks that we haven't before, swim, swim, swim, and visit with friends. Math facts are kept up..that only takes 5 min or less. And personal reading is encouraged. :tongue_smilie:
  14. :iagree: When it's nice out, get 'em out! Yesterday, we spent the afternoon in the park. I had planned to read from our current read-aloud, but that just didn't happen. All four kiddos kind of went in four different directions! High rise livin' is hard on kids...they run when given the chance. ;) http://kauahifamilyinhawaii.blogspot.com

  18. I know many of you are bloggers and really enjoy it. But do you ever get a brain cramp and can't think of anything to write about? What eventually inspires you? I started blogging in Febraury at the suggestion of my 12yod when we learned we would be visiting Hawaii for 3-6 months. My husband is working here and so the kids and I packed-up and flew to Paradise to be with him. Have you ever wanted to visit Hawaii...what would you like to see or learn about ? Have you been here and have fond memories ? Help. Yesterday, I resorted telling jokes! :001_huh: http://www.kauahifamilyinhawaii.blogspot.com
