    This is a 'JAWE' post...

Just agree with everyone!  Meaning, I would like to see what other concerned dog/cat lovers have decided to feed their pets after their did their research, wracked their brains, and searched their pocketbooks.  No bashing of anyone else's decision!

It can be so stressful knowing what to fed our pets.  In case it is of any help to anyone, this is what we have settled upon for our 75# dog.  We desired to use kibble.  We were influenced by these board discussions to rotate between brands a little and use kibbles of at least 30% protein.  I was relieved to not see our brands on the DCM list on the other thread, so I do not have to go through the decision process again.  After making charts to compare protein/costs/stores, this is what is best for us:

    Rotate every  two bags:

    • Victor Hi-Pro Plus (cheapest at Rural King 40#)
    • Purina One SmartBlend True Instinct Turkey & Venison (Rural King or Chewy same price for 27.5#)

Each serving gets topped with a dollop of

    • Solid Gold Green Cow Tripe or Solid Gold Sun Dancer (cheapest at Chewy, but they kept sending dented cans.  I do not do dented cans, so I pick the cans myself at Petsmart)

Please post your pet food picking process and the resulting choice.  Because, maybe what you have decided for your dog or cat can help someone else choose their brand so they can move on with life.  I, for one, need help finding a higher protein cat food, and I would rather learn from your experience then do the research myself LOL

Just a bolded reminder of what the OP posted....

  2. Put their cellphones on speaker for a conversation in public indoor spaces like a library? And the ones who do always seem to have the volume turned up loudly. Honestly, the rest of us do not need to know or care about your financial or medical business...

(It should go without saying that my comment does not include with hearing issues.)

I think it's really strange that you have a cinema that has BOTH options for the same theater.  Around here if your movie is being shown on a screen with the recliners, it's reserved seating only.  If it's general admission, it's regular seats and first come-first serve.

I would actually complain to the theatre about their system.

I used to hate the reserved seating concept, but we spent a summer going to the movies every single $5 Tuesday and we wasted a lot of time getting to the theater super early to guarantee decent seats for us.  Two of us get severe motion sickness/vertigo if we're too close to the screen, so it's important to us to be so far back from the screen.  Reserved seating means we can get to the theater right on time some days.

Of course, now we have issues in that it's usually three of us going to the movies, and reserved seats are done in pairs.  I hate having that oddball seat! DS and I take turns with the odball seat that might be shared with a stranger.  I hate it when I get stuck next to someone who chews loudly but the worst by far was the little boy, fresh from soccer practice, who took his shoes off and then squirmed the entire movie.  OMG, sport stink completely ruined the movie for me.

This. In theaters that I've been to with assigned seating, it applies to the whole theater. It's stupid that they have a system where in one theater some can choose seats ahead of time and others can randomly choose where to sit.

  4. Eat My Globe- by Simon Munjumbar (sp?) loved the podcasts about what they are on the Titanic

LeVar Burton Reads- shirt stories, usually with Sci-fi bent

I recently added one called Mythology, but I haven’t had a chance to listen to it. Also Top Chef/Food Network’s Richard Blaise has one called Starving for Attention. I like food stuff 😄

My California sticker doesn’t look like sticker in the link.

That was from LA County and that particular one was probably from an absentee/ vote by mail packet.

Washington is all vote by mail (WHICH I LOVE LOVE LOVE ❤️).  So no stickers.    We get a paper stub to track our ballot though so that’s something more valuable to me.

I got the sticker with my absentee ballot.

I have the NYC one, and I really like it. But yes, Alaska's is the cutest.

I thought Alaska's wins hands down.

  6. I don't know if I would remarry as it falls into the realm of anything is possible to me. Having said that, I would not actively be seeking another marriage. I do see myself seeking companionship-- but I don't think marriage is the only way to have that.

I wonder what parameters their "curators" have for book selection?

According to the curation section of their FAQ:

    Quote

How do you pick the books?
From our large selection of children’s books, we use expert recommendations from our Amazon Books Editors and customer ratings and reviews to curate great, age-appropriate books for each box. These books include classics that have stood the test of time as well as hidden gems that our Editors couldn’t put down—stories that your reader can enjoy again and again. We will also use your recent purchase history to avoid including a book you have already purchased on Amazon.com.
