  1. Due to other posts, I'm guessing make up counters require a purchase.15 yrs ago, I went to a MAC Boutique shop (not a counter in a department store), got the tutorial and then purchased just about everything used. My consultant was awesome, listened to my needs (outdoor, Ren Faire wedding), and helped to pick the best shades. My makeup was one of the very few problems I encountered that day.

  2. In my experience, the only things that are banned from the waiting room are things that are banned from the courthouse altogether.  For example, the last time I went to the courthouse I forgot I had my good sharp scissors, and those were confiscated.  But electronics, books, etc . . . are fine in the juror waiting room.  I guess you should also avoid anything that's really unpleasant to those around you.  Don't plan on tuba practice.

If you're selected for a jury then you'll need to put the electronics away, so having something electronic and something non-electronic makes sense.  But most people seem to spend more time in the waiting room than the courtroom.

Same here. No knitting or crochet needles, no needlework of any form and definitely no scissors because they could easily be used as weapons. Books, magazines, and phones are fine. You might want a sweater, too. I tend to find the rooms to be cold.

  3. Del Taco has 99 cent bean and cheese burritos that--while certainly not gourmet food items--are pretty tasty, relatively healthful (and made with freshly cooked beans on site) and are very inexpensive.

One of these will satisfy a light hunger and two is the most I've ever ordered.

    Bill

I'm sorry but I see your value bean and cheese burrito with a 330 calorie, value menu Crunch Tostada anyday. But I like something with a crunch not to mention white flour practically= glucose.

Not a Subway fan either. Their breads have always seemed weird to me and I'm not a fan of their lackluster salads. Bagged salad and a rotisserie chicken or some kind of fresh veggie and a cheap cut of meat from our local grocery store is out cheap meal when we can't "splurge" on diner/pizza delivery/ take out.

  4. Anecdotal. I've used Gold Bond on the nethers for super hot days, like the recent heat wave we are in, only because dh prefers it and we have it on hand at home. I have also used cornstarch from time to time. Look up Gold Bond's ingredients, oh hai talc. Sigh. We didn't use talc on the kids. I remember the Shower to Shower commercials. But my mom only used it on her body.

I guess it's back to cornstarch for me.

  5. I knew someone for whom the word broach was the equivalent of saying moist. (I don't get it. I get it bothers a person but the why eludes me.)

I hate spiders. Had a run in with a tarantula in the wild when young. I can't be near any spider larger than the width of a fingernail.

My dad is a talker and loves to leave vm. He will only text me if something with my Parkinson's mom is serious. I learned that in the last 2 months. He's capable, just not willing for day to day conversations.

There's no N in vegetables. Why pronounce it?

There is only the Oxford comma. There should be 2 spaces after the end of the sentence but I reluctantly moved on. I will never give up my Oxford comma.

  6. Monster of Paris. I believe it's still on Netflix. It's a French animated movie about a flea that get accidentally doused in a scientist' growth serum and becomes human sized. He loves music and appears to have the ability to sing. However much mayhem in 1890s-ish Paris ensues. A fun family flick with (I thought) good music. A happy ending for all.

  7. Marvel Netflix shows: Daredevil and Like Cage are good. Jessica was meh for us. Iron Fist is uber campy. Haven't had a chance to watch Agents of Sheild.

We like Marvel movies Iron Man 3 was meh. I'm looking forward to Thor 3 this fall. Winter Soldier and Civil War seemed like drawn out backstory. Don't get me started on X-Men. I still need to see Logan. I'm looking forward to Black Panther. I recently ran across this article: https://www.cnet.com/pictures/watch-every-marvel-cinematic-universe-movie-in-the-right-order/?ftag=ACQb4020c1&vndid=1861198001&nan_pid=1861198001&ad_id=6592789

D.C.- wise: Gotham is really good. Flash is ok-good. Arrow is campy, eye candy fun.

    Supergirl is ok but preachy.
