  1. Stacia, the more fiction I read, the more emotional I get and the more crying I do. Movies also. I used to like some TV. These days, quite frankly, I loathe it. Very interesting. I think there must be a definite correlation. It worries me quite a bit about the next generation of non-readers.
  2. Kate, this is very helpful and encouraging. Thank you so much. :)
  3. Not much advice since you seem to be doing everything right. Not sure about the HRT and possible side effects. One suggestion would be, which I'm sure you already know and are doing - lots of water-laden fruits and veggies - cucumbers, watermelon, etc.
  4. Classical Stretch: Season 6 - lots of workouts to choose from on this DVD. I did: * Arms & Posture * Leg Sculpting * Lose a Pant Size :iagree: :iagree: :iagree:
  5. My blog is finally ready. See my siggy quote. Hope it's of help and benefit to others. :grouphug:
  6. Mine is finally ready. Never thought I would see the day. In my siggy line.
  7. Thank you. Yes, I heard about it from threads here. I would really appreciate it if you could please share what you think after the convention. :) Thanks so much for all these links and suggestions. Off to start researching. :D Thank you so much for sharing. This is all very good to know.
  8. I was hoping to do a DVD, but my speakers aren't working properly. Have to wait for dh to wake up to fix them. Instead, I did a calisthenic-type workout from a 1980s exercise book. This was the one and only indoor workout I did all through my teen years. Love it. Unfortunately, I no longer have the book. Not that I need it. More nostalgia than anything. Me neither. Thank you. Just looked at some of it. Looks good. :) Great. It'll be nice to see if you like it or not.
  9. Oh. my. goodness. :drool5:  :blush5: :001_wub: Stacia, you just made my morning!
  10. Rebounding I often think about these, but feel slightly intimidated. ;) I don't mind some jumpy and bouncy stuff, but not too much. Prefer gentler these days. There was an interesting thread along the same lines on Video Fitness. I haven't read it all. I say, sell them. So very sorry if I had encouraged you too much on this. DVDs are so subjective and so hard to recommend to others. The little that I know about you :), I think, P57, might be more your style. I just think ... :tongue_smilie: No, I don't think Tracy Anderson is bar, but then again, how would I know. I know very little about her. She is very popular. Don't know much about her method. I would consider her DVDs if I was in the mood for getting new ones. I don't need any DVDs for several years really. :tongue_smilie:
  11. Cardio Callanetics You're most welcome. Thank you for always starting this thread and for encouraging us. :grouphug: Great job on the run. :)
  12. Going to look into these. Thank you. :grouphug: I felt the same way at first and was a bit scared to join. Don't let the 52 books intimidate you. I have yet to accomplish that - time and $ (I have to buy all my books - no library here). I say, just enjoy what you read and don't worry about the number.
  13. Aerobics :D :grouphug: :D :grouphug: Love, love, love Lemon Bars :D.
  14. I've been considering American School and reading up as much as I can. I would love to hear from those who have used it, experiences, pros and cons, etc. Yes, I realize that it's rather basic and possibly dull. If we were to use this approach, we would likely use other stuff also - Khan Academy, WTM suggestions, etc. I just can't come up with other options and really am tired of having to sort of reinvent the wheel and do all the lesson planning every single year. Thank you. :)
  15. Didn't see a new thread, so I'm starting this and hope no one minds. Am about to go for a swim.
  16. Read The Burning of Grey and I give it 1 Star - rubbish and a waste of my time and $. Read both of these this year. Loved The Housekeeper & The Professor. Garden Spells was nice and just fluff. Loved this. I've always loved Dawn French and read Dear Fatty by her a while back. Didn't care for it that much. Think I just prefer her in Vicar of Dibley and French & Saunders, etc.
  17. These are the ones that we were using and need to use more often. Thanks for the much-needed reminder ;).
