  1. Mark Laham: Power Yoga - Hip Opening Sequence - my favorite yoga instructor .
  2. New thread. Please post your workouts here. Everyone welcome. :)
  3. Personal Training with Jackie - Crunch Free - X-treme Abs - same as yesterday. Glad to hear that it's better. Tiger Balm is available in most pharmacies, Target, Costco, etc.
  4. Personal Training with Jackie - Crunch Free - X-treme Abs - love this workout and need to do it more often. Tiger Balm?
  5. Happy Birthday Robin! Off to start a birthday thread for you. Hope your day is a lovely one.
  6. Thank you, Eliana. :) Pomegranate Soup was sweet - not the best book I've ever read, just sweet and cozy, if you know what I mean. I have some fond memories of it still and I haven't read it in years. My Uncle Napoleon is a true story, but very, very sad. It was a TV series when I was a child. Iranians seem to love tragic endings. Not my cup of tea at all. Rooftops of Tehran was okay. Can't remember it too well and yet that's the one I've read most recently of all these. Funny in Farsi & Laughing Without an Accent are hilarious. I'm off to search your other titles. :) Thank you for the list.
  7. Classical Stretch - felt really good. The older I get, the more I realize that I need to stretch.
  8. Sorry I missed it. I usually notice all the birthdays. My mom's birthday was yesterday also. :) Happy Belated Birthday!
  9. Eliana, I'm always open to suggestions. I may have heard/read of some of them. If you or anyone is interested, I have a Persia board on Pinterest. Every time I go through it, I get all nostalgic. I do so miss it, but it's obviously no longer the Iran that I remember. I have no interest in going there again. Besides, it would be extremely unsafe and foolish, given that we're Baha'is.
  10. Rebounding - longer than usual and loved it. :)
  11. About 20 minutes of cardio moves to favorite music - running in place, jumping jacks, that sort of stuff. Lots of stretching.

    Posture?

Yes, I agree. My ds has terrible posture. I'm trying to get him to do more yoga-type stretches, etc. It's not easy. You can bring a horse to water, but you can't force him to drink. In the end, it really is up to him. Don't know if anyone's mentioned swimming, but that helps also. I'm off to look at the Katy Says site.
  13. No major reading in the past week. I've been so busy and then as soon as I start to read anything, I fall asleep. Robin, I hope that your mom is doing okay. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:
  14. New thread. Please post your workouts here. Everyone welcome. :)
  15. I wonder if I've read this. I probably have. I love his older stuff.
  16. Same here. During undergrad, I was strongly "E" and now I'm and "I". The older I get, the more introverted I have become. I wonder it it's also a result of my circumstances - virtually no friends nearby, nothing. :( Maybe being online and having online friends has something to do with it also. Maybe when we feel connected to others online, we have a slightly less need to go out there in the real world and connect with others. Just thinking here. Not sure what it is. This is so me.
  17. Our tastes are similar. :) I recommend books by: Fannie Flagg - my favorite is Can't Wait to Get to Heaven - but I've liked them all. Mitch Albom - Tuesdays with Morrie and The Five People You Meet in Heaven - loved them both. Ken Follett - Pillars of the Earth, etc. Anne Tyler - The Beginner's Goodbye and lots of her other books Sarah Addison Allen Alexander McCall Smith - but I much prefer his Isabel Dalhousie series over the No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency. Other Titles: The Housekeeper and the Professor The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society
  18. Nothing today. Didn't sleep well last night.
