  1. We love my Matrix, note we only have 3 in our family, but number 4 is coming soon. The fold down seats are really nice when you are carting things around. As for the backseat, we can easily fit 2 slightly overweight adults and a large car seat in there without anyone feeling too squished, so 3 people with no car seat shouldn't be a big problem at all.
  2. For DS' first birthday we got him a caterpillar and some cars from countree toy shoppe. They are still 5 months later his favorite toys to play with, he loves to take his caterpillar on a walk. The customer service is also amazing. We are planning on getting him a few more cars from here for the holidays, but he absolutely loves his pull caterpillar and cars.
  3. I'll play, we haven't done a big shopping trip in awhile and likely won't till around the 20th, but looking at what we have right now: Fruit: Bananas Mango Cantaloupe Blueberries Strawberries Oranges Apples Veggies: Broccoli Asparagus Sweet Potatoes Baking Potatoes Lettuce Mushrooms Frozen Veggies: 5 pound bag of mixed veggies (peas, carrots, corn and green beans) Do canned Veggies count? (if so): Kidney Beans Black Beans Corn Diced Tomatoes Dried Fruit and Veggies: Blueberries Raspberries Bananas Peas Carrots
  4. We're pescetarians (fish and vegetarian diet) at home, because DH is allergic to meat. This is what we have scheduled for this coming week (we are making up menus for the month at the beginning of the month to help with our budget) Saturday: corn chowder with grilled cheese sandwiches Sunday: seafood enchiladas with a veggie Monday: general pasta dish with rolls and a veggie Tuesday: quesadillas Wednesday: taco soup with tortilla chips Thursday: salmon dijon with rolls and a veggie Friday: keema (peas, curry and ground soy (or meat)) over rice
  5. This is basically why I'm here and planning on homeschooling. I never fit in public school, it was a complete joke and I never was challenged to anything near my potential. DH had it slightly better in that he was in a magnet school so had slightly more challenging work, but he still wasn't very challenged. I want the ability to customize my child's education to fit them, and public and private school's can't do that. I really like the fact that I can make the education fit the child rather then trying to force the child to fit the education.
  6. I'm lurking because my homeschooler is only 10 months. So while I'm gathering information and learning stuff now, I don't really have much to contribute yet :). That said I find it a lot easier to lurk and read the new boards then the old ones, I really do prefer this format.
