  1. I wonder when someone will start a "Free Anna!" web site.

    NOOOOOO!

So what is the court hearing next week anyway? Is it about the kids or the criminal charges?
  3. I mostly agree with the above. But there are a few fantastic threads that people just bump from year to year to keep everyone aware of them.

I don't think the kids can keep up the "POW" act for long. I mean, they're kids. The little ones will just adapt to their new reality. Not to say that they'll forget their parents, but that they can't keep up that kind of facade, especially if the foster home has other kids to play with. Kids are designed to play and they will, losing their taciturnity in the process. The older ones will be more conflicted, I think. They are past the age of innocent play, have different cognition levels, and have longer exposure and training to their parents' ideas. I'm sure they all miss their parents terribly.

I couldn't believe when she said court was a week away and she didn't have anything to do in the meantime (paraphrasing). I guess if people aren't there to help them (work party) then they're not going to make progress. :confused1:
  6. Just checked prices on Book of Mormon, coming to SF soon. $304/orchestra seat. Sigh.
  7. I agree. I misunderstood your post. When you said "platform" my mind decided you meant speaking. I think that's what umsami was talking about and I put both of you together. Mea culpa.
  8. Continuing to pray. Thank you for the update. You are so strong. :grouphug:
  9. Now I'm embarrassed I like Grease. Terrible message for girls, really fun music. In my defense, I also like Les Mis, Phantom, and Wicked. My all time favorite is The Producers, though.
  10. I am no defender of Josh and this whole thing makes me feel ill. That said, if he had become some sort of advocate for victims and discussed his past abuse of his sisters, it would have dragged them into it. If my brother did something like this, I certainly wouldn't want him speaking out about what happened to me. Well maybe I could do it if I lived far away and my name was not used, but if we were this famous I would not give my consent. I might decide to come out with it myself at a time of my own choosing based on my healing, but to have him on the talk show trail when he felt like it would not fly with me. He would need the consent of all 5 victims, IMO, before he went and did this. And this is where his parents screwed up (again). By making the family famous, they made it even more difficult for the girls to give consent. He couldn't talk about it without people knowing what happened to them due to their celebrity. He should have repented, gotten himself help once he became an adult if his parents wouldn't when he was young, found some other way to do good, and live a quiet life, unless he had the express consent of all of his victims to splash their pain across tabloids.
  11. :hurray: Your perseverance and ability to put your pride aside (sniff) and do what's best for you son really paid off.
  12. I hadn't thought about it from that angle. This makes sense.
  13. Moxie, hugs. :grouphug: You didn't ruin him at all! I agree with Cat (as usual) and think you should check in with the school. You want your DS to have every advantage he can get as he makes this transition. Some friends of mine put their 3 unschooled kids into school. The school gave them very specific things the kids needed to work on, they hired a tutor for a few hours/week, and they kids had a very smooth transition.
  14. Do you think that's also true in a private school like Moxie mentioned? I would find that surprising since parents can shop around. But maybe it's true. I have no experience with schools and my kids, but I always thought if my DS (who needs accommodations) had to go back to school, I would go with a private one for that reason.
  15. I'm not familiar with DORA and ADAM but I do know the Stanford 10 online is untimed. I haven't given it so I can't answer any questions, but you might want to check it out.
  16. Thank you for the update. :grouphug:

I really don't know. Do they really not think CPS will look at their public Facebook and see their lies?

That last slide has some interesting info. I figured it was a phone number but ran it through county property records anyway and it's not the parcel number. The mystery continues....

Bitcoin isn't shady and trades at varying amounts against the dollar. It can be sold for U.S. backed currency.

The rabbits the Nauglers plan to breed for meat are actually White Rabbits. I remember this post! Didn't she cut his food into bite-sized pieces so he could eat and keep playing? I googled her name when I first read this (I thought she was a troll) and she had been arrested for furnishing alcohol to minors. I know several women who have had unassisted births. Between them, they have 16 kids. All those kids have birth certificates.

Of course. Who else is going to saw up the poop? That baby has to earn its keep.
  22. Yep, I agree about starting the ibuprofen before the numbness wears off. It reduces inflammation and takes awhile to kick in. The thing that keeps your mouth open is called a bite block. Definitely helps to ask for one, esp if you just want to relax with the nitrous.

My guess is they got a lawyer who told them to lay low. Very very low.
