  1. That caused such a belly laugh! Thanks for sharing.
  2. Not sure if you interested in reading on Missionaries by YWAM publishing has these really great life stories. One of the series that I've started reading to my children is the Christian Hereos Then and Now. We've read the story of George Muller and Gladys Aylward. I've recently purchased another because the children are begging to read more on missionaries. You might want to check out Amazon.com to see if they might have the book cheaper than the YWAM Publishing website. Many blessing on your reading journey~ Angie
  3. Hey Karen you might want to check out Karen Voight workout. That might wake up those muscles of yours. She really pushes the body. It feels good when your finally able to keep up with her and not feel like she's trying to kill you. Can't wait til I can handle her workouts again. Angie
  4. Nakia, I'm glad to see you posted this again. Keep it coming to help encourage the rest of us...out of shaper. I need it! Getting ready to run on the treadmill again.
  5. I have four dc. Age ranging from 8 to 3 years. I do not follow a schedule, but I just implemented a definite start and finish time. It is alot less stressful. I tried following schedule, but I found it to be more stressful because all the kids are working at different paces and levels. I want to make sure that they are learning, not just me going through the curriculum.
  6. I was pregnant with my third child. I nursed up until six months of the pregnancy when my doctor told me that I would have to stop nursing. His reasoning was to prevent an early delivery due to nipple stimulation.
  7. Nakia, Just keep the post going on a daily basis so those who are exercising keep encouraged! I'll definitely check back to see what is going on.
  8. I know I'm not up for a 5k, but I've recently gotten back to doing brisk walking and jogging on the treadmill. I really can't stand jogging, but I found to be helpful is puttin on an action movie. Watching a good movie, really distracts me from what I'm doing on the treadmill. Don't forget to adjust you meal portion to actually see the result of your run, jog etc.
  9. Hey there Alison, In this situation, I'd definitley make it a point to say "Hello." After a while you better believe your Pastor will be looking for you to say hi. Then maybe you can ask him in a loving way why is he not approachable? For sure I think this needs to be done before your husband even decides to leave the church. Your Pastor has a right to know why you are leaving. That like having a problem with someone and not letting them know, in order to make adjustments to irradicate the situation. If he's still not approachable in church, make an appointment and address the situation. Pastors should be able to display love toward their flock. Maybe he is unaware that his demeanor is not one that welcomes others.
  10. I usually put all the children's books in their own cubbie/book shelf. They return their books to their area, which helps to maintaing the bookshelf. There not much time spent on trying to find the books they need. Then all other books that would be suppliementary to learning in separate shelves according to subject. I'm the one who usually get these books and put them back where they belong. It all helps to maintain the possible chaos that could break out in to a big mess.
  11. YWAM books are wonderful and inspiring. You can look up the titles at the website and see if you can find it cheaper on Amazon.com.
  12. My son when he was 1 and a half wanted to learn because he saw his sister could read. However, he didn't want me to teach him. So what he did was took a abc toy by leapfrog and taught himself the letters through repetition of playing with the toy. Then he taught himself the sounds using the same toy. He had total letter and sound recognition by 2. Then we started reading. Maybe try a toy like the leapfrog letters and sound, if she doesn't want a session. It is less intrusive and more like play.
  13. Have you tried Homesciencetools.com?? Sometimes the locol Hobby Lobby and Michael's carry models.
  14. I'd have to agree with a lot of the ladies. Try vegsource.com and homeschoolclassifieds.com. I was able to purchase my entire curriculum at all three places (here included). When I did the total on how much I spent in comparison to being my curriculum straight from the dealer. I saved over $200, i'VE vowed to never purchase my curriculum from the dealer again, unless I can't find it. You might want to check out Amazon.com too. Sometimes you can find some of the books there for a reasonable price with the shipping included.
  15. I'm using Making Time for God:Daily devotions for Children and Families to Share. I find it to be execellent because all my children can listen in and I can get something out of it. We end up having long conversations about how the devotional pertains to them in their life.
