Janeway
It is as if there is some divine, except not so divine, something, keeping this eval from happening. The saga has been years of waiting lists. Insurance dropping places or places dropping the insurance. Places refusing to work with out of network benefits (looking at your children's hospitals!) and just a lack of providers, and years long waiting lists. Finally, due to DH losing his job so we got medicaid which the children's hospitals take and me begging and pleading for an appointment before the medicaid goes away. Maybe they moved him up on the wait list because he had been on the wait list for years prior to this. But only six months and his appointment was supposed to be today. Then less than an hour before the appointment, they call and cancel. The psychologist had a family emergency. They did reschedule him for next week, but from the way they spoke, it sounded like they were unsure if she would actually be in next week. Sounds like something very serious happened. I feel really bad for her. New appointment is next week. We will see.
OneStepAtATime
Oh I really hope that her emergency is not too serious for both your sakes. Goodness how frustrating.

It is so hard to emotionally ready to go to the doctor and discuss all the problems.....just to have them say "hold that thought.....for a week or a month or so ....". Storygirl
I'm sorry, Janeway. I hope they are able to keep the appointment next week.
