amo_mea_filiis.
Would anyone be willing to mail me any North Carolina maps? I'm thinking of those big, free maps they have at visitors centers. I'm most interested in the near mid to eastern/coast part of the state. Of course the whole state would be great, but some places only have county maps. Thank you! :)
amo_mea_filiis.
Anyone? I think it'll make my move planning easier if i have a map to refer back to. It's difficult looking online trying to get a sense of things.
Occasionally
Not from NC, but if you have AAA, they have oodles of free maps in their "stores."
Samiam
Not too many free maps these days. Alot of visitor center's that are staffed charge for the maps these days. Unstaffed visitor centers often don't have free foldable maps anymore. Guess due to budget cuts, and maybe the fact most people having access to online maps in advance, or GPS during trips, state govs are cutting that expense. Just my experience when we were living in NC,and traveling around exploring that first year. Often looked for maps, kept my boys busy in the backseat for a while, but could rarely find them. Guest inoubliable
http://www.visitnc.com/travelpubs http://ncdot.gov/travel/mappubs/ Maps. Order them for free or you can see them online. Probably lots of good information for you on that first site about the state.

plansrme
Cracker Barrel may still have free maps showing CB locations. Their map shows major cities and interstates anywhere near a Cracker Barrel. I would guess NC is a Cracker-Barrel intensive state and might be pretty well covered on the CB map. Susan C.
Go to WalMart and get their large road atlas (the one with where all the WalMarts are), it is cheap and will give you all you need.
