newbie
An online school? If so or if you can tell me anything about it that would be great. We have done K12 for 8 yrs. Its good not very rigorous. We are going to try International Academy in fall for older dd. Let everyone know how it works. Jet
Pamela H in Texas
Clark, My son joined the local virtual academy last October. I'd be happy to answer any questions. Ours uses the k12 curriculum which proves to be a solid curriculum, imo. Let me know if you have specific questions :)
NewHomeSchoolMarm
Our older son used Summitt Christian Academy and loved it! He had access to teachers who emailed him whenever he had a need, and he was able to use the curriculum he preferred --Switched On Schoolhouse. TracyR
We are with a Virtual Calvert cyberschool . I can definitley say its school at home . If that is what you prefer . We've been with ours for 3yrs and I'm just totally and completely burnt out . I am wanting to go out and traditionally homeschool and my husband is just plain nervous about this and is really stalling it , even though he is for whatever I want to do ., We have a difficult school district . So it makes it hard to leave . It has been a blessing and a stressful thing all at the same time. I can't complain about our cyberschool at all because its very hands off . Just that having to get those tests in is very stressful , having to stop teaching to have to teach for the state testing is ANNOYING to say the least . Other then that if you are wanting the accountability of a school at home approach it maybe a good thing .
EKS
We used several k12 courses this past year. IMO, they were quite solid, especially if you were to do the optional activities and lessons.
