Perry
I want to bake some chicken breasts for sandwiches. I'd like to marinate them first, but don't want anything with a real strong flavor. No Barbecue or soy sauce. Any suggestions? Thanks.

elizabeth
This is what my chef buddies use to make their chicken tasty. I also love a nice balsamic vinegar marinade.
swellmomma
Just a haha to share, I read the title of this very quickly out of the corner ofmy eye while writing something down about the children and read it as "How do you marinate your CHILDREN?" Hmmm Yup, perhaps I overdid the pain killers

Storm Bay
We have food issues, so I use ascorbic acid in water with some oil. Now, I usually add some herbs, too, but this gives a very mild, very yummy flavour. Not that I do it often, but it's very, very good. My dc love it. What you need is an acid (softens) and an oil, at least in traditional marinades. I'm sure there are lots of low and no fat variations.
