Sunshine State Sue
Ds is taking a public speaking class and he is supposed to bring in a speech (400-600 words) for approval. I've looked and looked and the one I found that didn't seem too adult (Chief Seattle) had already been done. Any suggestions? Most that I find seem too adult-ish. TIA. A speech written by someone else? Like a famous speech? Why not Patrick Henry's "Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death" speech? Is your ds passionate about a certain topic? Find a speech on that so he won't have to conjure up fake emotion with it.
Sunshine State Sue
Thanks. I'll look up Patrick Henry's speech. I'll also try to find something sports related. His only passions are sports and video games. :tongue_smilie:
Caroline
Now I haven't read any of these, but if he is into sports, maybe a Vince Lombardi speech?
fivetails
His only passions are sports and video games. :tongue_smilie: Hmm, with the connection ~~ video games ~~ computers... I wonder if he might like Steve Jobs' Stanford Commencement Address, 2005 ...not sure how many words that has... but I'd heard of it before and reading it through, the guy makes some rather good points. :)
Sunshine State Sue
Now I haven't read any of these, but if he is into sports, maybe a Vince Lombardi speech? Caroline, you ROCK! His Number One Speech is 458 words. I'd rep you if I could. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I don't even know who the guy is!
