momofkhm
He's 8. This is the first time it has snowed that he has actually been old enough to really shovel snow. (It's probably only an inch of snow.) But he actually wants to shovel! I didn't say I'd pay him to do it either! He has just decided it needs to be done and he's the one to do it. This is so cool! Don't tell me it won't last. Lalalala I can't hear you!
Kristiana
I'm right there with you!!! My 8yo just loves to shovel and I just love to let him! Unfortunately (so he says) we haven't gotten very much snow this winter! :D
MamaT
My 10yo still thinks it's cool to shovel. My 15yo will do it without complaining, but doesn't think it's so cool.:)
amyable
Ooo, I hope that happens here too. We have 4 dd in a row, and our only boy is only 1.5 LOL. Hope springs eternal!
dirty ethel rackham
Now there is absolutely no reason why a girl can't be shoveling too. While my boys are good and conscientious at shoveling, dd8 is my most enthusiastic worker. She often helps the boys on their shoveling jobs and gets a cut of their pay. kewb
Both ds (10) and dd (8) shovel away. Neither thinks it is cool but they have to do it anyway.
WTMindy
Yah, 8 was good...then came 10!!!! ;) Actually, ds was the hugest help this year when we had our huge storms. He worked like a man out there without complaining at all, and it was HARD work!!
Peri
I think I have all you boy lovers beat. For me, nothingis better than when I have a little itty bitty baby and my dd will come in our bedroom in the morning and take her crying brother after i've finished nursing him and go sit in the rocking chair with him. She'll rock him saying to me, "Mama, you sleep a little longer. I'll rock baby." For me that's the best! It totaly rocks. Of course, the rocking chair is right next to the bed and she can sit there and relax with her brother while watching TV in our bedroom as well. dirty ethel rackham
Oh Peri, that would be my dd if she wasn't the youngest. She is the most nurturing little thing. She rubs my back for me, puts the kettle on for my tea, etc. Her brothers don't let her "mother" them like she does to me:).
