fj62
Dd loves to sing and I am looking for downloadable catchy, fun songs. The only ones that I know of are the ones I've seen in musicals or movies. I love Doris Day and Judy Garland's voices, but am not familiar with more titles besides Whatever Will Be, Will Be" and "Somewhere Over the Rainbow". OnTheBrink
Check out cd's by Michael Buble, or Rod Stewart's American Standards cd's. Also, look up musicals that starred Judy Garland, Bing Crosby, Fred Astaire, Audrey Hepburn, Leslie Caron. Not all songs from the many musicals they've made are appropriate for kids, but many are. The iTunes store would be a good place to look, because you can hear a snippet of the song for free.
bumbledeb
I used to love listening to Deanna Durbin. She had a lovely voice, almost operatic. 'It's Raining Sunbeams' 'Because', 'Waltzing in the Clouds', 'Can't Help Singing', are listed on iTunes along with some others.

Catherine
Isreal Kamakawiwo'ole is a native Hawaiian man who sang a beautiful, moving version of Somewhere Over the Rainbow. It can put me into tears, it is so beautiful. He has a high tenor voice.
