Frontier Mom
I looked it up and it is about 6 hours for me. As I've never been there before, I wondered if I would want to take the family. How far is it from the Creation Museum? Anything else nearby that would be fun?
Frontier Mom
Also, I might be open to carpooling if my family doesn't want to go. Let me know if anyone might be interested in riding together. I'm about 30 minutes from Charlotte.
readwithem
I'll bring my dd if SWB does the writing for students seminar she discussed here recently (hint, hint!) :)
Sharon H in IL
I was planning a trip to Washington, D.C. and Williamsburg for April. This will just move our schedule slightly. :001_smile: We have to get home for the opening of baseball practice, though. It's a long haul to Illinois. Danestress
I'm always thinking that my parents will have a crisis, and it makes it hard for me to commit to anything, but dang it, I would REALLY like to go, and it would be fun to meet you. You've always had my favorite avatar:)

The Creation Museum is in Northern Kentucky, across the river from Cincinnati.
Veritaserum
It's times like these that made we wish we lived in the East....

Yes, I'm a native of the Wmsbg area, and I haven't heard of a creation museum. If bridge-tunnels don't make you nervous, you'll have more to see than is possible in a few days. There are too many museums and attractions to list. Look here for brief descriptions of the major attractions. (Some citites like Norfolk and VA Beach have their own pages-Click their links) http://www.planetware.com/tourist-attractions-/virginia-hampton-roads-us-va-hra.htm

Carol in Cal.
Especially if SWB does that writing seminar demo that she mentioned. We would also visit Washington DC and Willamsburg, and probably Jamestown. We've been participating in the Williamsburg virtual field trips, so we are SO ready for this. And DD loves to write, so getting a workshop from SWB would be totally cool for her.
