African elephants can distinguish between human languages

Basically, when elephants are played recordings of people speaking a language spoken by people who don't usually come into conflict with elephants, they are unbothered, but they react defensively when played recordings of adult men (but not women or children) speaking the language of a group that does come into conflict with elephants.  

That's pretty cool.
