2PaganDads
Hey there! We're Kai and KK from Ontario, and I hope it's alright that we joined this forum - we're actually not officially dads yet, but are in the middle of adopting a 2 year old that we plan on homeschooling. One of us was also homeschooled, but we're looking into it as much as we can and learning new things ourselves! We look forward to meeting and learning from other couples and families! It's a tough journey, but we're happy to have found a forum with other parents making the same choices for their kids as us! 😄
Rosie_0801
There's no time like the present for learning stuff! Welcome to the forum. 🙂
Miss Tick
Welcome! Now it's the best time to lay out the perfect plan before your child starts to exhibit their own personality and desires and ruins it. 😄 But really, there is plenty to think about and decide and plan and investigate... Also, there are usually a few people thinking ahead like yourselves and a number of people who are no longer homeschooling for a variety of reasons - all welcome! Slache
Hey guys! The books that influenced me the most are For The Children's Sake and The Well Trained Mind. Good luck!
Green Bean
Oak Meadow's The Heart of Learning is awesome for parents of small people. https://www.oakmeadowbookstore.com/PreK-8-Curriculum/Preschool/The-Heart-of-Learning.html Planning ahead and seeing what 'speaks' to you is a good plan. Keep it loose and be ready to make adjustments or whole new paths to your plan. Kids' needs ebb and flow a great deal.
