athena1277
This year I am one of the teachers for the 3rd-5th grade class at our coop. Our coop is very laid back. We do educational learning and activities in our classes, but it is enrichment only. The teachers choose what they want to teach. We usually cover a topic for a quarter (6 sessions) or a semester (12 sessions). I need some ideas for this year that don’t require a lot of lesson planning. We have 2 hours of class time, which include at least a short Bible lesson. Please give me all your ideas. We can purchase curriculum and materials if needed. lmrich
Maybe a poetry study or read short stories and an activity with them. I did a map drawing class that was lots of fun. I have also taught a math games class. I also did a famous women in American history class with an art teacher. I taught the background, and she helped the kids draw a portrait of the famous person and then they added a fun frame around their picture with symbols that were important.
skctgbrlis
I’ve taught the K’NEX education sets several times. You do need one set for every two students, so it runs about $20 per student. They make fantastic co-op classes, though, and the kits can be reused.
