Elizabeth86
I have questions. I’ll find out if anyone uses it first before I type up my questions.
PeterPan
Well there used to be users. I still have my guides. What are you wanting to know? There should be samples online and the challenge will be that most of the books will be oop, things you'd end up buying.
nwahomeschoolmom
I purchased it to use for this past year for our Greek study and it lasted about 2 days here. I ended up making my own study guide to go with A Story of the Greeks by H.A. Guerber instead. I really wanted the history of the Greeks in story format with everything flowing together, but Truthquest does the opposite and everything is topical, which would work for someone well-versed in Greek history, but not for someone like myself. So, I put it aside and we just read through "a spine textbook" but really absorbed the content rather than adding in a bunch of other books. (Need to edit and proofread before selling it, but I have a draft copy if anyone is interested.)

My first thought is, is it enough for high school? I see there are a list of spines, do you just choose one? I haven't looked to closely, but is government ever covered? Yikes, I'm just not sure what all I was thinking now, but I'd love to hear your pros and cons of this curriculum. Thanks.
momtofive
I bought TQ years ago, but struggled to implement it. I kept getting hung up on the book list, thinking I had to use those specific titles to "do it right." Fast forward to now....my youngest kids still homeschooling are 8th, 10th, and 12th grades. We are using a CM living books approach for history (using Ambleside Online mostly), and reading the TQ commentary to go along with our studies. We do not use the book list, though it is fantastic. I just read the commentary as it applies or fits into our living books history studies. We've really enjoyed using it this way. In regard to Government, I'd treat it as an elective and purchase materials separately to cover it. I don't think there's enough within TQ for credit....I may be wrong on that, but for what it's worth, that's what I did. 😊
