He is pre-med and loves swimming for competition. He lives in New York City....for what that is worth. I just need a general type of gift. Any ideas for me? I'd look at google maps near his university and see what restaurants are there and get a giftcard---Chipotle, Starbucks, whatever. My student at home who is commuting to college complains most about: packing lunches, needing to use backup battery devices to charge things while on campus, and dealing with weather. He takes public transport and so is walking in winter weather---backpack covers, wool socks, and leakproof commuter tumblers for warm drinks are all things on his wish list right now.
