Sarah0000
What's your favorite collection of Grimm's Fairy Tales that stay true to the original stories and is beautifully illustrated?
nixpix5
I love so many different ones but this one my kids have adored. It isn't all of the original stories but they are done. https://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/3836526727/braipick-20 We ended up getting it based on this review https://www.brainpickings.org/2011/11/21/best-childrens-books-2011/ If you like original art and more complete volumes then the Annotated Grimms is awesome as well. https://www.amazon.com/Annotated-Brothers-Grimm-Bicentennial/dp/0393088863/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1528043773&sr=8-1&keywords=Annotated+grimm

I puffy heart love Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale collection that is edited by Maria Tatar.

8filltheheart
I love The Owl, the Raven, and the Dove. Definitely not appropriate for young kids, but it is a great book for understanding Grimms. https://www.amazon.com/Owl-Raven-Dove-Religious-Meaning/dp/0195151690
NotesFromTheParsonage
I love the Barnes and Nobel hardback versions. They are such beautiful books. And as a homeschooler, you can get an educator’s discount card! I buy all my classics at Barnes and Noble.
Sarah0000
Thank you everyone. I do have a text only collection but I'm looking for lots of illustrations for young kids. I'll probably go with the first one linked because the artwork looks different than other stuff we own. I do have a Hans Christian Anderson with the more vintage looking illustrations already. LOL, I read from the thick book my mom had when she was a child--no pictures and not sanitized! (I read it to my kids in mid to upper gradeschool. They lovingly referred to it as "The Bloody Book!"
