Julie in Austin
I can never get a straight answer out of Amazon :glare:, so I'm asking the hive: I want to return one book from a recent order, but if I do that, the order total will be below 25$. Will they then apply shipping charges if I send the book back?
kalanamak
They have not done that to me, but I've only returned books two times.
Janet in Toronto
I think they pay for the return shipping and then deduct that cost from your refund. At least, that's what they do if you preprint the return label. I've never had originating shipping adjusted.
eve
Whe I returned a book to Amazon they did charge me for returning it if it ended up below the $25 limit and I think there might have also been a restocking fee. For me, it would have been better to resell the book. If I think I might need to return a book I buy it from Rainbow Resource, they are very easy to work with. G5052
Depending on the value of the book, it might be better if you resold it instead.
Ria
Why don't you call them and ask? They've been very helpful when I've called in the past. Phone toll-free in the US and Canada: (800) 201-7575 or (866) 216-1072 Ria

MrsMe
Go to the returns section on Amazon dot com and you can print out a shipping label that is paid for if you do it by mail. Real easy. I've returned a few books and some toys that were damaged in shipping.
