rainbowmama
One kid accidentally kicked another kid in the face. Two hours later, the kid has redness but no swelling around his eye. I've had him icing it for twenty minutes at a time. What else can I do to keep it from swelling and minimizing bruising.

Ibuprofen will help reduce the inflammation. Luckily black eyes don't hurt too much as a general rule, and generate much conversation! ;)
Corraleno
Do you have any arnica cream or gel?
Starr
Steak, where did that idea come from anyway? Hope he's feeling better soon.
Liz CA
Do you have any arnica cream or gel? Or can you get arnica montana pellets (usually from a health food store). They are pretty common around here. Arnica reduces bruising and swelling if taken soon after the incident.
