Closeacademy
My youngest would like to learn French, she is just starting to read. She does very well with Rod and Staff or literature based curriculum. What would you recommend? Thanks.:001_smile:
Melissa B
I just purchased Easy French Jr. It says Grades K-3. It just arrived a couple of days ago, so I haven't had a chance to read through the whole thing, but I really like the look of it. I'm going to use it for a 3rd grader that needs to ease into things like foreign languages -- otherwise she becomes easily overwhelmed. I haven't decided whether to begin right away or wait until after Christmas. Here is the sample link. http://www.theeasyfrench.com/sample.html
dawn of ns
Another one to look at is Nallenart. It's Canadian and my daughter's enjoying it. It's got a nice mix of reading, listening, flashcards, worksheets, etc.

For purposes of not producing a laughable accent, my dh is the instructor for French (he's the native speaker in the family).
Closeacademy
I lost this thread and thought that no one had replied. Thanks a lot for your posts and the link to the other thread. :001_smile:
Tonia
Does she enjoy lapbooks? That can be a large part of Easy French Jr. If your daughter likes them that might be a good way to go.
Closeacademy
She loves lapbooks. My older dd is doing Lively Latin and we are making a reference lapbook for that. Great idea. Thanks.:001_smile:
SonshineLearner
I like Memoria Press' Latin program, and they have a new French program... Carrie:-)
