Wheres Toto
Thanks to some perimenopausal fun that is being addressed separately, I am very anemic. So the doctor wants me to take iron twice a day. I'm also calcium deficient. I also tend toward Vitamin D deficiency but I'm not at the moment. I know there have been past threads, and there are some real experts on here, about what vitamins should be taken together or separately, what time of day is best, with food and without food, what types are absorbed best, etc. Help? Google is giving me contradictory information.
busybuzzybee
I'm also on another forum. A lady there had great results using Blood Builder from Amazon for iron. I haven't tried it, but her results were amazing. When pregnant, I had good results eating the usual: leafy greens, meat, & eggs. J-rap
The only one I know for sure is that vitamin C needs to be taken with the iron, to help with the iron absorption. Apart from that, I find that I need to space mine out a bit, or take them earlier in the day. If I end up taking everything at night before I go to bed, I get a stomach ache during the night. Jean in Newcastle
I have no idea if this is true for everyone but I have to take vitamin D in the morning. If I take it too late then it keeps me awake.
