crazyforlatin
Does anyone have a company they can recommend? And, why did you subscribe to a VPN service?
TheReader
when we had one, it was because we were in Brazil, and couldn't access some US based websites without using one. The one that we used is called (sub real letters for where I've changed them....and take out the spaces) Hide My @$$ (slang for bottom or donkey), and worked pretty well. I don't know of any others. I mean, I know plenty of others exist, but this was the one we used (suggested by lots of our other international friends).
Roadrunner
I have successfully used Hotspot VPN. I needed it when out of the country.
Tree Frog
KrebsOnSecurity just did a story about the legislation and VPN's. He talks about what to look for and what to avoid and gives some links.
crazyforlatin
I keep reading that Gmail hides your home's IP addresses. It doesn't hide the server's IP. Is that true? Using the library WiFi won't work because it'll still indicate I'm in the vicinity, I think. So enter VPNs. Thanks for the recommendations, I'll look into them. So it's legal if I'm in the U.S.?
