jak of in
We just bought a new mattress and want to keep it nice. Any recommendations on a mattress protector that doesn't make you sweat or sleep hot? I bought one with the mattress (online), but it is so crinkly and noisy. Pretty sure I will sweat on it! I'm looking at this one: http://danican.com/products/silvertech-ag4x-mattress-protector-queen-80-x-60-x-15 Has anyone used this one? Thanks! kbutton
I have not used that one. I would buy one that mentions being cooling or some kind of temperature sensitivity. I believe we have this one: https://www.sleepnumber.com/sn/en/Bedding/Mattress-PadsToppers/p/total-protection-mattress-pad Sleep Number does a lot of sales and coupons (friends and family coupons). You might be able to find a sale.
Squawky Acres
We get ours from Land's End. They are waterproof, but very nice and soft, and not at all crinkly.
Ravin
IKEA waterproof mattress pad. Awesome!
magnificent_baby
I believe the brand I have is called Protect-A-Bed; I don't remember which style it is, but it works very well. You wouldn't even know it's waterproof. It is NOT hot at all; I've thrown away so many previous versions that were way too hot! It was not cheap but worth every penny. We got ours from the furniture store when we got the mattress. I could have purchased cheaper online but they offered a return if I wasn't happy. Katy
Put existing one on bed. Add a flat blanket or non-waterproof pad on top as a layer of insulation & some breathability. Put sheets on. Try it. If it's still hot & crinkly order a new pad from Ikea.
