Which Keurig?

Don't fling eggs at me. I am trying to get the one with the mesh cups where you can use your own ground coffee.

This is on ds's Christmas list and I have no clue which model to get. Basic, but not chintzy is preferred.

We are French Press people and don't know anything. :001_rolleyes:

This is the one I have: https://www.amazon.com/Keurig-K55-Single-Programmable-Coffee/dp/B018UQ5AMS/ref=pd_lpo_79_bs_t_2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=KVXD8PYB7WX8Y0GKSFQX

I feel bad about the waste, and I do have the reusable cup which I use a lot, but my OCD meds make me so unbelievably groggy in the mornings that being able to get caffeine just by pushing a button is a big help.

(And I still have and love my french press, btw. I don't think you have to pick just one or the other.)

I think the K55 or K255 are lovely. I have the K300 that I use exclusively with the reusable pod. I also own a french press, but since I'm the only one who drinks coffee and at most 2 cups a day, I prefer my Keurig. I'm too cheap for the Kcups and the reusable pod is easier to clean than my french press.

This whole one cuppa concept grew on me when they provided the reusable pod. I'll get one for ds and see if he likes it.

Thanks for the rec's.

I also have the one Mergath linked to, and really like it.  We bought a store display but it works fine and in fact has worked for over 6 years.

My father has a less expensive model and though it works fine, I don't like it as much.  It doesn't quite give the same options and doesn't seem as sturdy.
