daijobu
Is there any reason to not begin an Edhesive subscription to study AP computer science now? Does it expire? We school year round, and I'd to have her get a head start and introduce her to Java. Thanks!
Sebastian (a lady)
Is there any reason to not begin an Edhesive subscription to study AP computer science now? Does it expire? We school year round, and I'd to have her get a head start and introduce her to Java. Thanks! When we started, there was a rolling schedule for the course. It was up to the student to stay on track (ie, no penalty for falling behind), but the lessons and assignments opened up each week with new info. I'm not sure if this is still the case. There were some teachers asking for a looser schedule to accommodate schools with block schedules.
freesia
Last year the course didn't 'open' until the end of August. I know this years accounts will end at the end of June--so if she started now, her progress wouldn't save.
Lilaclady
I think if she just wants to get a head start on Java she can look around the course and see what it is about. There is also the blue pelican Java text online that she can use to get a head start.
Sebastian (a lady)
Doctor Java is the platform they use for coding and testing. She could load that anytime. The text referred to is an etext. She could start going through that now and writing small pieces to be familiar with how it works together.
